The absolute max we need is 6 teams. 4 was fun so that we still have a couple teams claiming they should've had a shot. But beyond 6, these teams stink out loud.

At least fix the auto byes. Oregon and Georgia having to play OSU and ND while penn state and Texas get to walk through BYU and ASU doesn't add up.

Hard disagree. For the first time, I paid attention until the last week of the regular season because my team actually had a shot to make the playoffs until the end.  Normally I check out by week 6 because my team has already been mathmatically eliminated. Who cares if most of the first round games are blowouts? You'll still get the level games in the later rounds

Yeah, you might get 1 extra fun game and 7 complete duds. If I were a TAMU fan I'd lose interest at the same chance, and if we snuck in I'd watch the first 2 drives against a real top team and then lose interest again.
