He is better than Lawrence.  Lawrence is garbage, playing for a garbage franchise in a garbage city

How dare you say such a thing about a city that has not 1, not 2, not 3 ... but 11 Hardee's!

Probably with a strip club in back.

Love is propped up by his kicker.

As soon as Tua agreed to his extension, knew this would be done soon there after.

Love, 4 year extension, $75M signing bonus (largest in NFL history), $220M total, $55M APY (matching Burrow/Lawrence).

The Cowboys inability to sign Dak to an extension is REALLY going to come back to bite them.

It's going to be really interesting to see Dak hit the open market, both to see what he'll get and where he winds up. Teams with a ton of cap space next year either don't have a need, or just drafted a QB, with the exception of one team (Pittsburgh).

The Sultan

But I bet a couple of those teams that just drafted a QB won't have the patience and will try to throw a bunch of money at the "quick fix." The Cowboys are really going to regret this IMO.

The really interesting QB contract decision coming will be Purdy. I just could not give him $200M+.

At least they have Jerry Jones to identify their QB of the future.

No it won't.  He's a playoff choker and failure. They're idiots if they give him a Love, Lawrence, Burrow, etc., type deal.   He is nowhere near a franchise qb.

Dak will get a deal north of what Love and Lawrence just got. He will get 4 or 5 years, $60M per year, most of it guaranteed.

I don't think you have a full understanding of how dire the quarterbacking situation is, how much money is floating around, and how much teams will throw that money at a QB.  Even if he isn't great...but you are being hyperbolic here. Dak isn't an all time great, but he's a top 10 NFL quarterback right now.

It's a good deal for both sides.  GB can cut ties relatively quickly if he's a 1-year wonder.  Love can reset the market if he continues progressing.

If Dallas thought he was worth that it would already be done.  If I were them, I'd pay and lock up Lamb and Parsons now and make Prescott have a prove it year.

Saying Prescott isn't an all time great is one of the understatements of the year.

Curious why? His resume is better than Love's. I would have guessed $220M is the floor now.

Signing a big name receiver over a big time quarterback is worthless. It gets you Davante Adams with no one to throw to him. Parsons I agree with.

But someone will pay that to Dak. And the Cowboys will be where exactly?

Not in salary cap hell paying a 31 year old qb with a 2-5 playoff record who has only won in the wild card round. It's not like he's going to suddenly become Brady/Mahomes/Montana in postseason this far into his career.

Who says he has to be at that level? And if they don't pay him, who are they getting? Trey Lance? Cooper Rush?

And if you draft well, there really isn't a thing called salary cap hell in the NFL. You can defer and defer and defer until you take a big charge in a year and move on. Like the Packers did with Rodgers.
