As I've always said GB's STs are the gold standard in the NFL.

I hate this team but take the win and run

Love 13/17 for 261. One incompletion was a drop, one was a throwaway, 15.4 YPA. He plays like an MVP on like 80% of drop backs. He's just gotta stop making 1-2 terrible mistakes per game.

His INT was bad, but that was a missed throw. Not a bad read.

Exactly, 1-2 terrible mistakes cost games.  Next game luck may not be found.

Luck? The point is that he had a good game. They only had the ball six times, excluding the kneel down at the end of the first half. Three TDs, two drives end in the red zone and a punt.

You are all missing the point, the Bears still suck.   Go listen to Hampton and O'Bannon post-game on 720 to make your day....

How is that luck?

You're missing the point.  After that Packer performance, the Bears know they can beat the Packers.

Or..., they realized they will lose no matter what.

NCMUFan

I hope that is the case.
We will see next game against the Bears.

Do they?  They played turnover free football and limited the number of Packers possessions and still lost

Nah, packers can play much better than they did. and at home, they will win by 21.  Bears still suck...

The question is, if they can, then why don't they?

Because they're a dumb team with a defense full of workout warriors and not necessarily good football olayers

Lukas Van Ness may go down as a worse pick than Jamal Reynolds. And that's saying something.

The thing that scares me about the defense is how unprepared they were. Word out of Chicago last week was about changing offense to run more and make quick throws. So Hadley comes out with a 2-deep defense that made it easy for the bears to move the ball. Don't think there was a 3-and-out all day.

Total fail of a game plan.

Thought about this some more. Yes, being prepared for more running/quick game was prudent. But it's a double-edged sword. Caleb has struggled to get the ball out quickly or adjust to guys not being schemed open...best way to get that is press man. The vulnerability to that is guys with their backs to the QB.

The real shortcoming to me is missed sacks (rare they had pressure but Enegbare missed 2) and God-awful linebacker play against Caleb - Cooper included.

This is not a good defense, and it's being covered by high-variance plays. You could tell me that the Packers did what they did in 99 and spent their first 3 picks at CB...or DL...or LB...and I would believe you

The defense just sucks.  It's no more complicated than that.  Van Ness and the guys on the edge were awful yesterday.

49ers haven't been good this year, but Shanahan has to see that film and drool
