Fordham University coach Kyle Neptune is expected to be the choice to succeed two-time NCAA champion Jay Wright as the new head coach of Villanova, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

It honestly makes sense. Their are 3 real real guys on that roster. Whitmore, Dixon, and Moore. And maybe Armstrong

Tough to get a good coach at this time. Luckily there’s a former Final Four coach out there with Big East experience.

Longino would been one of those players that woulda really developed under Wright.

Think he still does end up a hell of a player.

I assume Nova has a solid recruiting class.  Anyone we can snag?

Hope all is well with Coach Wrights Health. Will be interesting to hear the whole story. Maybe this was in the works for a while. Long time assistant gets a Head Coaching Job and experience, then goes put in as a smooth transition replacement.

Overall, this retirement does not help The Big East Cause.

Dude is 60 and has done things at Villanova that will be hard for any replacement to replicate.  Life’s too short to be grinding on the sideline until you’re a corpse.

I would imagine Wright isn't retiring because he's worried about having a down year.

Wardle to Nova.

So far, this is the best suggestion 😂

Makes sense now that almost a third of the conference games against Wojo, Steele, and Jordan won’t be sure wins.

No, but seriously good for Wright. He didn’t make it all about himself like Coach K did. They say he won’t come back but I could see Wright coaching in the NBA in a few years.

Jay Wright is what every school wants in a HC and I will miss him being part of the BE. If the reports are true, he gets a standing ovation from me for a job well done. Not rile Farley up, but he is everything that I think Shaka will be to MU over the next 15+ years.
