Really liked TLOU episode 4.  My only real concern at this point is that they're done with 4/9 episodes and there's still A LOT that has to happen.  Sincerely hope that nothing gets scrapped/no corners cut.  Think there's a real possibility that the last 1-2 are both 90 min+.  Also, I know that it won't resonate the same with all viewers, but I loved that Jeffrey Pierce is in it, and that both Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker will be in later episodes.

Yeah I've been wondering how they are going to fit the rest in. When episode 1 premiered I thought it was going to be a 10 episode season. My guess for final episodes:

Ep. 5: KC part 2
Ep. 6: Outskirts of KC/Wyoming
Ep. 7. University/Mall
Ep. 8. Winter/Compound
Ep. 9. Finale

Somewhere they have to work in Ellie's backstory into flashbacks. I'm also hoping that Abby will get introduced in episode 9. I think this is all doable but episodes 6-9 will legit all need to be 90 minutes to fit everything in. If anything gets cut, I think it will be the mall but I hope not because that was one of my favorite playthroughs.

I'm also happy with the Jeffrey Pierce cameo and excited for the future cameos.

Not reading about all the expectations re The Last of Us. I know it's fun for all y'all to talk about and I'm not saying you shouldn't. It's just a challenge for us non-gamers to not find out too much!

Anyhoo, I really enjoyed episode 4. It was basically a two-person show and it played like a very good (and very unique) buddy movie. Bella Ramsey is so talented, really makes Ellie believable.

Unrelated: Just watched Ep 1 of Shrinking on Apple+ and we liked it. It's always good to find a half-hour(ish) show to watch between the longer ones. The entire cast seems to really enjoy being in it, and I'm digging the premise.

The runtime of the remaining episodes has been released. They are all an hour or less.  Also judging by the title of one of the episodes they are going to do an entire episode on Ellies backstory. A little apprehensive of how they can fit in so much story into 4 hours and 20 minutes

Yes it was.

But I don't think there have been any weak episodes so far.

True. I think it’s competing for the top spot so far, for me.

The guy who in part wrote Yellowstone, also has “Tulsa King” and “Mayor of Kingstown” on Paramount plus. A friend recently recommended these to me. I have seen none of the three yet. However, I can recommend a movie from the same writer. “Wind River” a dark but good murder mystery based in Wyoming on Netflix.

I watch Kingstown. I think Renner is absolutely fantastic in it (and takes on a new light given his recent accident). It should be written I also think it's quite.........bleak. Basically every character, including the ones who are typically "the good guys", is awful. But I believe that's the point of the show, it's a tale about how terrible the system is and everyone plays their part in that terribleness even when they think they're doing the "right" thing.

"The Offer" is also good entertainment. I suppose having watched The Godfather movie helps color the background but even on its own I think it would be enjoyed by most.

Yea it’s very bleak.  Almost every episode of the show has something that’s just awful.  Not that it’s not a great show or worth a watch, it totally is and it’s incredibly acted.  It’s just rough subject matter and Renner is a total anti-hero

Renner is also one of the main characters in the movie I mentioned.

That’s a Taylor Sheridan hallmark.  Watch his shows and you see a lot of overlaps in supporting characters, much like mid 2000s HBO.  I can think of 2-3 actors who have all been in each of Yellowstone, 1883, and Kingstown. He often makes appearances as well, though not yet in Kingstown that I can recall.

I just got around to watching Club de Cuervos.  It was Netflix's first Spanish Language production 6-7 years ago.  Its fantastic.  Its about a fictional Liga MX club whose owner dies and his children inherit it.  Tons of actual Mexican clubs and players appear.

The male lead is Luis Gerardo Méndez who was great as Balthazar in The Resort on Peacock and also in Narcos Mexico.

1883 is very good and I like 1923 so far. I am a Star Trek Junkie and find Discovery and Strange New Worlds enjoyable.

Just watching this. Solid but not spectacular. Makes Fineau easy to root for.

I think that’s a good summation. I used to really like Koepka, but him going to LIV soured that a bit. I just kind of feel bad for him. Especially compared to someone like Finau or Dahmen.

Koepka comes across as a broken professional. Easy to see why he bailed and took the easy way out. Doesn't possess the fortitude to respond to adversity when you lose your game.

Agreed.

Which is really interesting cause he had to seemingly grind so much to get where he was. You'd think he'd have significant fortitude.

Hell or High Water is an interesting film.  It’s well done and well acted.

However, the plot is wildly absurd.
Ramsey head thoroughly up his ass.
