Succession isn’t repetitive?

Fair enough.

I'd say it's "good repetitive," and that both the story line and the personalities of the main characters continue to develop significantly. But others obviously can disagree.

I watched Whiplash last night. It was very good and worth watching. Both JK Simmons (who won an Oscar) and Miles Teller were great. Amazing to read that a young Miles Teller reportedly earned only $8,000 for this role.

I'm pretty sure the film's entire budget was like $3MM.  It was very much an indie.  I believe all the other music students were actual students/musicians and not actors playing at such.

Finally watched Hustle, that was just a lot of fun.  Kenny Smith somehow looked a decade older than he does on TNT, but did a great job.

He's doing okay now.  He played Goose's son in "Top Gun Maverick".

Love Whiplash. Rewatched Spotlight recently, outstanding movie. Tough to watch, especially with a personal connection.

Started watching the new Iron Chef, nowhere near the original Japanese dubbed version. And, started watching Ugly Delicious. I’m a big Dave Chang fan, both as a chef and a thinker.

Just powered through The Bear on Hulu due to the reviews.

Really good. Extremely unique show. Once you get used the the frenetic pace it really gets good.

Episode 7 was a masterclass

I enjoyed the start of Season 2 of Only Murders in the Building. Not the biggest fan of Amy Schumer or Rapaport so hopefully they will have small parts.

Watched the first 4 episodes of "The Bear" on Hulu.

It's a dark and gritty comedy about a James Beard Award-winning chef that returns to his hometown of Chicago to run his deceased brother's sandwich shop.  It's filmed at the Mr. Beef at Huron and Orleans.

Lots of great Chicago shoutouts, including a lot of restaurant mentions.

I just watched the 1st episode yesterday. A different kind of show - don't know if I will like it or not - but I will watch a couple more to find out.

Jeremy Allen White, Abby Elliott, and Oliver Platt are enough to make me watch.  Then add in Matty Matheson?  Totally down.

Platt is more of a guest spot. But still great.

Also liking the random surprise cameos.  I didn't even recognize the celebrity that led the Al - Anon meeting - I guess it's been a few years since I have seen her in something.

Would love if S2 finds a way to incorporate some more flashbacks featuring Mikey.

That was quite the casting surprise even if for just a moment.

Definitely going to need a season 5  of Stranger Things.

Just finished watching S3 of The Boys. Truly a great series. Not too much on the TVs more fun than that.

Good little surprise near season's end, too!

There is an independent film that got a lot of buzz at the film festivals called "Small Town Wisconsin".  It's filmed entirely in America's Dairyland.  It was filmed in 2020, but its distribution was delayed by Covid.  It's about a guy living in the Northwoods who has made a series of bad life choices and lost custody of his son.  He decides to take him on a trip of a lifetime to Milwaukee that includes a Brewers game and the Wisconsin State Fair.

It's playing on all the streaming services.  I highly recommend it.

Must have been some really, really bad life choices if the 'trip of a lifetime' is to Milwaukee. :-\

I like Milwaukee and go often, but...
