Was a good show.  Love that Crean said he had the full support of the administration while at MU and he said you kind of think that's the way it will be elsewhere but he said he never had the support anywhere else like he did from the admin at Marquette.

I mean, no crap.

You'd think guys would learn.  Hopefully Shaka realizes.  I think he does.  This is THE job.

Nice interview with Tom Crean. The longer TC has been away from MU, the less I dislike him. He's not a bad guy. Never a peep about anything shady like we had to deal with under Buzz (I still love Buzz, btw). He clearly has fond memories of his time here. And I was student during the Crean years and we had some great times.

Still don't like the way he left, but it is what it is.

TC has always spoken very highly of his time at Marquette.  Those interviews with Jay Bilas for the 100th Anniversary of MU Basketball were great.  He could've left after the Final Four but stayed five more years and built a team went to three straight tournaments in the loaded Big East...ultimately eight straight with Buzz's years.

With Shaka, Miller, and Matta, the Big East is becoming a strong coaches league.  Guys who've all been at P5 schools and have returned to basketball-centric schools and league.  Georgetown would be wise to do this as well.  (Obviously Cooley and McDermott are great coaches as well.)

And a lot better.

Yeah. 1999 Crean fits there a lot better than 2023 Crean.  They need someone with the fire and arguably youth to rebuild that place.

I know you're joking as dig at Crean, but we're getting a MF-ing USL soccer stadium for our teams. I think we're ok now.

Da dude made a commitment and received very positive press, rightfully so, for his proposed generous donation.
