He described Kolek as crafty, high basketball IQ and unathletic. Maybe I'm watching a different game but I think Kolek is quite  athletic! Does he have a 45-inch vertical? No. But he constantly beats his man off the dribble and can splice through the defense. He's the straw that stirs our drink right now.

I was fortunate enough to see that midgets team in a open gym. I said at the time that I had no idea how good they would be, but they'd be fun to watch. As you point out, this team is very similar.  It is a nice change.

When Kolek is going downhill......his assists are textbook. When he is not.....when he is drifting away from the intended target it's 50/50 at best. Great to see TKI take advantage early tonight.

I don't disagree with any of the comments. But it was weird to compare him to Steve Nash in one breath and say he's not athletic in another. I'm super excited about Kolek. His court vision is incredible and he's only going to get better. But to Simpkin's point, he's probably not NBA material. But that means we have three more years of him and he's still got a ton of upside

Flew down to DC for the game and wound up having dinner with a group of about 3 dozen Pennsylvanians wearing an inordinate number of MU 4 jerseys.
