Each Coach's Best "All Coach Team"
« on: October 15, 2021, 09:34:22 AM »
Who makes each coach's all coach team and how would you rank them? Basically was thinking if Wojos best players put him surprisingly higher than coaches with way more success.

Wojo, Buzz, Crean, Deane, O'Neil, Rick, Hank, Al, Nagle (Rand & Kojis IIRC)
Maigh Eo for Sam

Interesting choices for Crean.

Vander and Jamil over DJO and Jae? Interesting.

No Henry Carton or Carlino? Also interesting

How would you rank these teams? Coaching not included.

I forgot about Jae.  That's a terrible omission by me.  I thought my TC pick's were pretty down the middle.

I have no use for Wojo's one and dones (Henry & DJC) they were leaving campus before they even arrived and they didn't contribute while here (like Trent Locket or Bob Jackson did).  Carlino probably deserved to be on the bench but that team was under .500 so he becomes forgettable.

To be fair you had traci on there and he was on the team all of 2 months longer than Henry as I recall. But to each their own

Because we will always have Italy.

And because Marquette used him in ads for 3 years after he left.

Buzz didn’t even want to start Davante.

Henry was Smoke & Mirrors.

Jae is a colossal miss by me.

I would put DJO ahead of Junior.  DJO, Blue, Butler, Crowder, and Wilson contend for a national championship.

I'm assuming you're talking about at their peaks because we got multiple years of that line up minus one  of Wilson or Butler and got embarrassed when eliminated.

Not many traditional bigs to be found, but these teams would score the sh*t out of it.

KO: Miller, Eford, Curry, Key, McIlvaine
Deane: Hutchins, Wardle, Crawford, Bargen, Lovette
Crean: Diener, Wade, McNeal, Matthews, Novak
Buzz: Cadougan, DJO, Butler, Crowder, Gardner
Wojo: Markus, Sacar, S. Hauser, H. Ellenson, John

Vander was the toughest to leave off... he had a great junior year, but not as strong the first two.

Interesting criteria as Joey was also a one and gone.

Buzz's best 5 would be Vander, DJO, Jimmy, Jae and the same Gardner/Otule combo he actually used. You don't need Junior at PG if you've got Vander and DJO in their final seasons.

That lineup would probably beat Crean's 5. Jimmy on D-Wade, both at their best, would be delicious. I don't see how Crean's 5 could deal with Jae.

You'd need Lazar on Creans 5 to deal with Jae, I'd have loved to see that college matchup.

And Joey the letter-writer did?

Not a single Dominic James or Jerel McNeal reference…

Man, I'd but Buycks there over DJO. Better ball handler and can still get buckets.
