The team played like a bunch of guys at the rec center. They were chucking the ball every time they came down the court, provided they didn't turn it over.

I watched a lot of Big East basketball over the years, and I would say our team did a great imitation of DePaul type basketball today.

It's simple. We have decided for some stupid reason to have our "paint touch" run through Theo instead of Dawson. No idea why.

I mean why give it to a McD AA when you can give it to a guy with such limited offensive ability instead?

I can't stomach to watch the game again but I can't remember one time DG got the ball in the low post or even at the elbow. He was the designated screener at the top of the key tonight it seemed.

It happened because our "offense" typically consists of this:
1) Carton walks the ball up the floor
We get into our "offense" with about 22 seconds left in the shot clock
2) Theo sets a ball screen which accomplishes absolutely nothing.  DJ dribbles back to the top of the key.  There is now about 15 seconds left in the shot clock.  Nobody is moving.  No cuts. No screens. No passing. No ball movement.
The  other team is able to rest on defense, because there is no passing or ball movement and none of our guys are moving
DJ now passes to someone, anyone out on the wing.  Now about 8 seconds left in the shot clock.  Nobody is moving.  Couple dribbles and a forced shot by someone at the end of the shot clock

If Dawson happens to be the guy with the ball in his hands at the end of the shot clock, he gets a shot.  Otherwise, he gets no shot as there are no plays ever called for our McDonalds All-American

Meanwhile, it sounds like we played our worst game of the year....and that's saying something.  It's incredibly frustrating that our teams the past 4/5 years have not gotten better come Feb/March.  But the biggest thing that sticks out to me is that at one point we had 15 turns in like 22 mins.  There's just no way to sugarcoat this prob and we see it constantly.  Drives me absolutely nuts... and they are sloppy and careless.

Sew, wee know offense after nearly 7 years? But, ther's still tyme. Wright didn't win until his 24th yeer at Villanova. Just gotta bea moore patient. This season wheel focus on other issues, hey?
