Lewis, Dawson and DJ, for next year.

Oh right for next year my bad. Well we all liked what we saw in brief time from Osa against UCLA so I'm not sure I'd write him off yet. But agree there's nothing I've seen to suggest Akanno, Torrence, Elliott or Perez are ready for prime time. Which is sad because I really had high hopes for Torrence. Not convinced any of the recruits are going to be ready right out the gates either

TAMU, Knower of Ball

I wouldn't be quick to say that there are only X number of players on this team and the rest are backups. It could be true, or one of those backups could develop into  a solid player or even a stud. Who would have thought based on Sacar's 1.1 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0.1 assists a game as a freshman that he would one day be the second best player on an NCAAT team? I certainly don't expect every backup to have Sacar like development but I don't dismiss them either.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Giving up on first or second year players is dumb.

Yep can't argue with that. I'd like to see more as the season moves forward from Torrence and or Akanno to give me more hope though. Oso is blocked and won't get a ton of time this season.

There's playing time available for Sy and Dex but neither have taken advantage of the opportunity.

1 Theo
1a Koby
3 Cain

Don't assume all three of Garcia, Carton & Lewis will be back.

The transfer portal will be bubbling. Easier to find a good wing than a good big man.

CTWarrior

They would all help.  We don't really have another Cain and his athleticism is fun to watch, so I would like him back, but I voted Koby because personally he is my favorite of the three.

No way am I giving up on those players, but not sure at this point what they bring to the table.  Oso and Akanno I have hope for, Torrence not so sure,
Elliott is what he is.  Perez no idea.  Lots of question marks if you want a better team next year, maybe worse.

Torrence is playing.  Oso and Akanno are not.

Torrence might be playing, but what does he bring to the table right now, not much.   Future, not sure, not quick enough, no jump shot, only a weak set shot,
can not go to the hole because he has no hops, am I missing something?  If so, tell me.

There's a need for Torrence. There's not really one for Oso so jury can still be out on him. Clearly not better than Justin John or Dawson right now. But that doesn't mean it's signed and sealed

I'd like to see Cain back. I feel the team will have a need for his game. I think Oso will see PT next season, but I have a hunch Sy leaves. Garcia, Lewis, Oso, 'Doo...not bad on the front line. DJ, Elliott, add-in a transfer plus just maybe one of the freshmen guards are decent, then Cain comes back? Not bad...not taking into account the HC, but I digress.

Nothing.  But I don't know why you have hope for Oso or Dex though other than they are a big unknown.

I voted Theo, but it was a tough choice. We have two guards coming in and if Koby stayed we might see a current guard transfer out. I went with Theo, because he would help Aidoo develop.

Wade

I wonder how a 38 year old DWade would fare.  Would he dominate or be a step slow on kids half his age?
Only ones giving Wade a hard time at even 40 would be people selected to go on the top 10.

Big Papi

Per Wojo from his radio show, none of the seniors are coming back.  Basically said the pretty much none of the seniors in high level conferences will stay around an extra year.

Also, expect Oso to make huge improvements by the start of next year.

So Bucky is going to return their entire team then?

I think Theo could mentor (and relieve) Aidoo.

At a certain point they're going to be recruiting the players kids while the parents are still on the team.

Dr. Blackheart

In my middle age, I would kill for a few extra years of undergrad. My senior year, though, I couldn't wait to graduate. The value of a rear view mirror, hey?

Rough stretch for Jamal.

In the 3 games since he had his career day vs GT, he has averaged 7.3 pts on .333 from the floor (including .222 from 3). Also, 14 reb, 2 ast, 5 TO (which seems low).

Need him to be a difference-maker for us, and here's hoping he can be again.

Jamal Cain all day long.

This should not even be a question. A No brainer. I can understand those who said Theo but they can find another 'Big' through transfer.

DJ Carton, Greg Elliott, Jamal Cain, J. Lewis, Garcia is solid... with great depth.
