Give me Tyler Campbell 7 days a week and twice on Sunday over Zagarowski.

He definitely came into this year way over hyped. But hes still a really, really good player

Well, for one thing, we caught a 42% career 3-point shooter on an 0-for-7 night. At least 3 or 4 of his looks were wide open.  He hits those in the first half, we're down big and we might not have been able to dig out of the hole.

And he does a nice job controlling the pace of the game for that team. Averages 6 assists and orchestrates a real high-octane offense. Not as simple as it looks.

But I do get the gist of what you're saying. The hype machine was blowing a gasket. No way he's the best player in the Big East IMHO.

I think most point guards in the BE would average 6 assists per game playing with all that shooting and at that pace.

30-20 MU wins Points in the Paint. PIP+FTM was 47-34 good guys. 42-27 rebounding difference. Simply, MU exploited their match-up advantage in the lane. We will be a handful most nights.

Game was only 67 possessions. Slower than our 3 cupcake games and OSU. Seemed way faster than that. Scoring 89 points on 67 possessions is absurd.

Wojo shut down Ballock in the 2nd half.

Wojo and the team did a great job today but I don't believe the above is a true statement.  Our defense was great but I think MU just took better shots and out hustled them.

1. Ballock was 5-8 3pt in the first half and 1 2pt.  He was 3-6 in the second.  I wouldn't say 2 less shots is shutting someone down.
2.  Ballock has a history of disappearing and not shooting the ball.  I think he deferred to Mahoney and Zeg. 
3.  Creighton shot 32 3pt and only 26 2pt.  8 for 18 in the first and 6 for 14 in the second.  MU on the other hand took 35 2pt shots and 21 3pt better mix lead to better results.
4.  Creighton only had 9 offensive rebounds on 30 missed shots.  MU had 14 on 26 Missed shots

Story is really we locked in rebounding and got good shots (and made them)

Is Zegarowski the most overrated player in Big East history?  No, but he sucked major ass tonight and his poor shooting was a big reason Creighton lost.  It's hard to win when your best player couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.

Excellent win by the team. That gives Wojo his 6th top 10 win moving him out a tie with Buzz (with the benefit of an extra year).

Unfortunately we paired our two big wins with losses to solid but not amazing teams. Hopefully we take care of business against Seton Hall and give the voters something to think about on Monday.

Great win - props to Wojo and the guys. What a comeback on the road. Just scratch my head at why we can't put this kind of effort together across a whole season. So many flashes of what we *could* be.

Surprised not more talk about the freshman bigs. Combined 25pts and 20rebs. I know CU is small - but I LOVE seeing that from our freshman front court.

It felt that way because the first half was 30 and the second was 37. Much faster pace of play in the second, and we scored 54 on 37 possessions (1.46 ppp) in the second half.

I was just about to post about this qualitatively.  We played inside out on offense and exploited the upper hand with our big guys. This was a (GASP) halftime adjustment to boot.   

Great to own the glass. 

Garcia finishing a couple in traffic is good to see as well. Big step if he can do that more often.
