POTUS headed to Walter Reed.

That and the experimental cocktail doesn't sound great.

Next to no information coming from the White House. If the Hope Hicks news didn't leak, what would the American people know? There is little reason to believe that he isn't in significantly worse shape than is being reported.

Patients don't deteriorate this quickly.

I'm going to actually believe that they're taking him there so he can be monitored constantly.  UK messed up by not sending BoJo to the hospital early.  No way that happens with a world leader again.

So, if the vice president takes over, will that mean the Political process gets a come-up-Pence?

Yup, that definitely seems to be the superspreader event. Idiots without masks, shaking hands, hugging...reality biting them in the ass.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

The monoclonal antibodies are being used under something called 'expanded access' or 'compassionate use,' a provision in the FDA regulations for patients who have "an immediately life-threatening condition or serious disease or condition to gain access to an investigational medical product (drug, biologic, or medical device) for treatment outside of clinical trials when no comparable or satisfactory alternative therapy options are available." When I have seen this provision used in the past, it was for people like end-stage cancer patients who had failed other treatment regimens and are literally on death's door. In other words, a desperate Hail Mary pass.

Given that other therapeutic combinations (particularly vitamin C, zinc and dexamethasone) have shown great promise, the expanded access use of the antibodies tells me that he is more ill than they are letting on.

I don't think he is necessarily more ill than they are letting on. These monoclonal antibodies were the treatment that I though would come online first.

I think this is a case where it's the president, has a good safety profile, and he is 74. A 74 year old that may have had a stroke earlier this year. He likely had a high viral titer with no antibodies yet. He is the poster child of someone at great risk.

This was likely precautionary, so that he doesn't turn south...because if he does, I don't think he makes it.

No mention of Chris Wallace confirming the Trump's purposely arrived late for the debate and left no time to be COVID-19 tested.

That is certainly possible as well.

Still, given the high success rates that have been reported recently with other regimens, I think it is very possible that he is gravely ill. The fact that we have not yet heard from the physicians treating him also raises concerns.

Anyhow, time will tell.

It may just be that normal rules don't apply when you're treating POTUS. And probably shouldn't.

I totally understand that, and agree.

Just putting some background facts out there for context. And again, it is not as though there are no other effective therapies available.

If he really is doing well, it would be good to hear it from his treating physicians. We knew far more about Reagan within a couple of hours of him being shot.

Guess we will see.

Kellyanne Conway is COVID-19 positive. Her daughter has mentioned that her mom is showing symptoms.

(She spent a lot of time near Bill Barr at the superspreader event. No word yet on him)

I may be out of it, but I thought her and her husband stepped away from their day jobs a few months ago?

Man Trump's mask answer from the debate is really not aging well.
