Should we be surprised?

The corruption and lack of leadership at the top is stunningly obvious. The prez already has appointed one of his cronies to oversee things.

The private companies that are allowed to buy this equipment to re-sell (price gouge) are just the 2020 version oh Halliburton.

When the full truth comes out, we will see a lot of Trump’s cronies made a lot of money.

I've seen some of the price gouging. Got an email from a supplier saying they had a ton of N95 masks. first come first serve, no limits. They were charging 6x the normal price.

But there is the flip side of it. My lab donated all our PPE to the local hospital that was running short. A full van full.

That's not poorly constructed, this is exactly what is going on. Daily press conferences talking about how much the Feds have given to states. And criticism that they didn't buy their own.

They leave out that the Feds stole or outbid the states on the same items so they could "allocate" them.

It is not okay for feds to take state-ordered supplies that they need.

It was not ok to let 100 million masks not be replaced either by two administrations.

From what the talking legal heads are saying tonight the federal govt does have that authority to seize these and a number of states have asked them to do just that.  Let the Feds decide and distribute where the PPE are going for the greatest need.  Colorado governor weighed on this today.  Where the Feds have failed is articulating this policy cohesively to the states.
