Buzz beat USC when KO was the coach. Not sure if there are other examples

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Yes, but these are not examples of FORMER MU coaches facing each other (i.e. one of them was the CURRENT MU coach at the time).

The better question is who will you be rooting for?

Crean. And it's not even close.

Thanks for the reminder, Smuggles.

A buddy and I are going to a bar to watch MU-DePaul, and this will be a fun one to check out before our game starts and during commercials. Maybe the thrilling ending will happen while MU-DeP is at halftime.

Care to expand?

I'll be cheering for the guy who didn't crap all over MU on his way out.

It sticks how Buzz was only coach who didn't return for 100 year celebration on '17. And if I recall correctly, didn't bother responding to invitation.  Deane was fired and was there. Crean returned with enthusiasm.

Buzz is a jerk. He knows how to win though

HutchwasClutch

A school of MU's caliber and tradition gave Buzz an opportunity when no comparable program would have rolled the dice on him.  We put him on the map.  I think he's barely uttered MU's name publicly, much less had anything good to say about the program since he's left.  You're welcome, jerk.

So, you are cheering for the guy whose players found out he was quitting from his BIL on ESPN radio?

Crean won me back at the 100th Dinner. Very classy and always speaks highly of Marquette. Had he the benefit of hindsight, I doubt he'd ever have left.

I am looking forward to him verbally assaulting Buzz in the post-game blow-by handshake line while yelling: "You know what you did. You helped wreck our program".

I'm not rooting for either one, but I'm betting on the guy who's a cross between a Baptist Minister, a Honey Badger, and Curly from The Three Stooges.

Marcus92

Which team to root for? Georgia, currently 12th in the SEC conference standings and ranked #100 by KenPom (more than 20 spots lower than any team in the Big East)? Or Texas A&M, ranked #158 and coming off 3 straight home losses?

My answer is neither. This isn't a game worth watching.
