I think when you're routed the quality of the team that routed you is a mitigating factor.

I honestly don't know what your point is.

I agree about the quality of the team being a mitigating factor. But when you're playing in an elite 8 game saying we got routed by a Final Four team as proof the team was great doesn't make sense. At that point any team we lose to in the E8 is going to be a final four team

One continues to talk about MU in a glowing respect, found a way to celebrate 100 years of MU basketball, is respected by the most important key players of his past at MU who shine the brightest for MU.  Left the program way better than he accepted it including leaving a stacked team for the next guy.

The other made his own bed with his own actions and those of his players and coaches, had a pout fest about it, trashed the program and conference on the way out, absent from the 100th, etc, etc.  Went to a lower level program for less pay.

Indeed, what a choice.

He won the Big East regular season championship (the old, best conference in the country Big East) and went to the Elite 8 without any judos - so there's that.

Buzz won 8 tournament games and lost games by 10 to an Elite 8 team and 18 and 19 to two final four teams.

Crean won 5 tournament games and lost by 12 to a round of 32 team by 30 something to a final four team.

Wojo has won zero tournament games and lost to a final four team by 20 and a round of 32 team by 19.

Buzz also was picked first to win the watered down Big East and he finished 6th and made no tournament if any kind.  Buzz's boys also got us more off the court negative exposure than any MU team in 30 years.

Too Tanned Tommy was utterly unprepared for the juggernaut that was KU. It gave credence to the whispers that Marquette didn't belong. And that is entirely on The Bronze Beast.
