I think when you're routed the quality of the team that routed you is a mitigating factor.

I honestly don't know what your point is.

I agree about the quality of the team being a mitigating factor. But when you're playing in an elite 8 game saying we got routed by a Final Four team as proof the team was great doesn't make sense. At that point any team we lose to in the E8 is going to be a final four team

It's gotten to the point they're nitpicking over the quality of the rout.

Buzz had the easier routs

No problem. I'll apologize for your inability to after the fact make a declarative statement seem like intended sarcasm.

So we're good. How much did we bet?

Figured you wouldn't. The irony of you saying I'm unable to admit I'm wrong when I just did a few posts ago, and then refusing to admit you had it wrong, is outstanding.

So, you are cheering for the guy whose players found out he was quitting from his BIL on ESPN radio?

Well, let's be fair. If the Arrogant A$$wipe of Athens hadn't avoided Fr Wild's phone calls like the gutless sh1t that he is Marquette could have gotten ahead of the story and managed it properly.

That was Buzz asking Crean where in the arena the self-flushing toilets are located.

So the Manager's job was to...wipe?

Lost the Final Four game by too much?

The most shameful night in the long, proud, storied history of one of college basketball's finest programs. And to be humiliated on so large a national stage.

Just think how KU would have really eviscerated us had we not had a roster composed of several NBA players including one of the best to ever lace 'em up.

So just think how Kansas would have eviscerated us if we had a far different and far poorer team than the one that we actually had?
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

I choose to remember it as the only team in school history to make it that far under a coach not named Al.   Plenty of luck along the way and it was a joy to watch.

One continues to talk about MU in a glowing respect, found a way to celebrate 100 years of MU basketball, is respected by the most important key players of his past at MU who shine the brightest for MU.  Left the program way better than he accepted it including leaving a stacked team for the next guy.

The other made his own bed with his own actions and those of his players and coaches, had a pout fest about it, trashed the program and conference on the way out, absent from the 100th, etc, etc.  Went to a lower level program for less pay.

Indeed, what a choice.

He won the Big East regular season championship (the old, best conference in the country Big East) and went to the Elite 8 without any judos - so there's that.

Buzz won 8 tournament games and lost games by 10 to an Elite 8 team and 18 and 19 to two final four teams.

Crean won 5 tournament games and lost by 12 to a round of 32 team by 30 something to a final four team.

Wojo has won zero tournament games and lost to a final four team by 20 and a round of 32 team by 19.

Buzz also was picked first to win the watered down Big East and he finished 6th and made no tournament if any kind.  Buzz's boys also got us more off the court negative exposure than any MU team in 30 years.

Just win baby

If only the Crean worshipers could set an example by being gracious.

Being gracious is how stupid stuff like a kid in a dorm saying fire Wojo becomes a story with some legs here.  Facts be damned.

It's not the journey in this case but the outcome.

Thrilled we made it to the Final Four. But to be humiliated so thoroughly was hateful. And before an entire nation made it all the more painful.

Too Tanned Tommy was utterly unprepared for the juggernaut that was KU. It gave credence to the whispers that Marquette didn't belong. And that is entirely on The Bronze Beast.

Beating Kentucky the week before proved we belonged, along with beating Pittsburgh and winning the conference.  We beat the ACC, BIG TEN, SEC champions that year if I recall in that season.  One game where we shot awful does not define a team.

Yeah, tournament games are crapshoots. Regular season games (Stephen F Austin at Duke, Evansville at Kentucky, etc.) aren't. LOL.
