I agree. The film of Downton Abby was a final episode to wrap up few loose ends.

Another film is in the works.

Finally getting around to season two of Bosch after a bit of a hiatus after season one.

Matthew Lillard is such a criminally underrated actor. He’s so good in everything I see him in.

I finally got around to watching S1 and finished the beginning of November.  The wife and I plan to go back for S2 after watching Lillyhammer (second time for me, first for the wife and kid) and the new season of The Crown.

I didn’t want to start a thread on this, but both bummed and happy that LeBatard is leaving ESPN. It was/is the best show ESPN offered and simulcasted. I know his show isn’t for everyone, but over the last 4-5 months it’s been inevitable the divorce between him and ESPN was coming.

If you’ve never given it a test drive, just pull up any Friday segment with Tim Kurkjian from the podcast vault, it’s so damn funny.

Okay, don't judge me -

I was flipping through the channels and landed on reruns of "The Ed Sullivan Show".  It's on a network called Decades.

I am very impressed by the depth of talent.  Yesterday it was Stiller and Meara, Johnny Mathis, and Lovin' Spoonful, all on the same show (plus Topo Gigio!).

Today Xavier Cugat's band.  They opened with "Tequila", and then performed a song with a very young, beautiful and talented flamenco guitarist.  Ed pronounced her name like "Chair-o", but we all know her now as Charo.

It's interesting how much show business has changed in the last 50 years.  Johnny Mathis sang a medley of his hits - how often does that happen now?  Most stars would insist on singing full songs.  And  lots of bad teeth and complexions back then.  That's not tolerated in Hollywood these days.

Have some patience, FFS.

During the free HBO preview this past weekend, I caught the first 3 episodes of Raised by Wolves.

Really interesting show, if a bit slow

Watched The Sound of Metal on Amazon Prime last night.

Holy hell, what a film. Riz Ahmed is such an unreal talent and the movie really gave him space and opportunity to work. Unique and moving story with so much nuance. Just fantastic

Just started Succession. Two episodes in. It is kinda campy, corny, etc, but it is a lot of fun. A nice distraction from the world.

I started a couple weeks ago. I’m about 7-8 episodes in. I’m enjoying it and will probably keep watching.

I may have to go back and watch all of the Disney Star Wars Clone Wars cartoons so I can catch all of the nuance on the Mandalorian.

I finally got around to watch the last season of The Good Place. Agreed with previous sentiments here, that was about as good of ending as you could hope for with that show. I appreciate that the creators wanted to end on a high note and not drag the show out, but I was sad to see it go. One of the best network comedies that's come out in a long time.

Wife and I binged the new season of Big Mouth over the weekend. Still hilarious, still raunchy, still a helluva lot of fun. But like seasons 2 and 3, they can't quite get back to how good season 1 was. This season I really enjoyed their takes on anxiety, depression, and code switching. The episode on blue balls was hilarious, probably my favorite this season. Felt like they stayed too focused on the main characters this season, the side characters are what makes the show for me.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.
