Halfway through (the released episodes) All or Nothing: Spurs.  Really well done, makes me dislike Jose a little less, makes me dislike Levy even more.  Understand why it was done, but still think Poch was given a raw deal.  Wish more info would have been shared about it, but again, understand why it was done the way it was.

20 questions with Dele.  Awesome.
Can say fück 30 different ways, but cünt is bleeped.   :o
Agree on liking Jose and Levy more.
Japh Tangagna is one of my favorite players,  as is Stevie Bergwijn.

Players in general just come out of these things looking good.  Makes them more relatable as people.  In all the soccer doc-u-series that have been produced in the last couple of years, the only player that has really stuck with me as being unlikable was Jack Rodwell, just because of the way he treated Sunderland (although I'll be the first to admit that the situation was far from entirely his fault).

Has anyone watched Raised by Wolves on HBO? What did you think? The last thing I need right now is to start another series, but some of the reviews I've seen make me think it might be worth watching.

Hopefully that wasn't ruined by any spoilers for you.

When I read the books, I chucked the book across the room when I got to that part.

Actually, no, it hadn't been spoiled. Clanking around the back of my mind I had a vague recollection of hearing about something going down at that sort of event (trying to avoid spoilers here), but there had already been other such events and I figured there would be many more.  So, no, I didn't see it coming.

Cobra Kai. Netflix. Don’t judge me.

Started it last night, watched the first four episodes and really enjoyed them. My wife is really digging the soundtrack.

Just finished United States of Tara on Hulu. Not great, not bad, but with some really funny scenes.

It was pretty clear though that they learned it wasn’t going to be renewed about three or four episodes out. Things that had been gradually evolving for the first couple of seasons got hastily wrapped up in the last couple of episodes.

Loving The Boys Season 2. Such a good show. What I found interesting was how I got my wife into it. After watching Cobra Kai she asked about what Elizabeth Shue was up to lately. I mentioned she was on The Boys and she wanted to see how she looked, so we booted up the first episode. Now she's watching episodes at home alone when I'm at work :D

I loved season 1. I've never read the comics.

But I get this terrible feeling like the show will never pay off for viewers. The "good guys" won't ever "win."

I had to stop watching shameless for similar reasons. There was rarely a payoff for the audience as the family kept unnatural carnal knowledgeing up over and over after almost making it out. And their screwups weren't funny after a while.

It was my best TV surprise last year -- surprised how much I loved it. I was worried that there would be a falloff this year, but nope. Still fantastic. I mean, there's been no other premise like it ever, and even when it's stupid they usually get away with it.

I can't get my wife into it, but I have shown her a few scenes -- the shooting from the babies' eyes last year; the dolphin/van scene last year, and just tonight I showed her The Deep on the whale -- effen spectacular.

Welp ... I guess Disney+ is gonna be getting another 7 bucks from me! Psyched for the return of this Emmy-nominated series (and well-deserved nomination).

Started watching Growing Belushi.   Ok at best.  Interesting topic, but I can't deal with his neuroses.

Just started Succession. Two episodes in. It is kinda campy, corny, etc, but it is a lot of fun. A nice distraction from the world.

It gets better and better as it goes. I think it is currently the best show on TV.

While reading this, I thought of Succession, which I couldn't get into because there simply were no good guys. You at least need one character to identify with. I feel that Hughie is relatable enough that he at least gives viewers a rooting interest and reason to watch, even if as you say, winning seems unlikely at any point.

As far as the "best show on TV" debate at the moment, I would say Billions is probably it for me, at least if you ignore streaming options. I find the matching of wits between Axe, Chuck, and Taylor to be excellent and it has some of the best acting on television, even if it will never get an Emmy nod because the nominators don't know how to handle Asia Kate-Dillon and would rather pretend the best show on television doesn't exist because you can't nominate any actors from Billions without including them.
