Markus made a comment in the post-game that said, "We are Marquette."

"I'm here to talk about the team. We fight in practice, we hang out together and we like each other."

Wow -- something is going right!

Great win in a tough environment.

The line-up of Chart/Morrow/Joey/BB/Sacar was successful in their stint when we needed it.

Funny, I looked at that line up when they first went in, said "not really thrilled with it." They promptly scored and then got a stop.
Once again, proving why I was not on the short list of people to coach #mubb.

Props to Wojo, St John's is the biggest game of the season.

This guy gets it.

Awesome. Cain starts dancing on his chair as the shot goes up, Joe C bends backwards as it falls, Bailey slaps his head back, and Greg calmly strums his air guitar. They all knew it was going in.

Sacar strummed one after his big 3 too
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I have watched this about 30 times just to see the bench's reaction.

Touney knew before Markus even got into his shot.

Jamal doesn't look like a guy who can't find the court.

All credit to MU, and I'll say it...that Butler team kinda sucks. MU did what they should, beat up on a crap team.

I was mildly stunned with how bad Butler was.  Never sold on Baldwin and without martin, wideman, and Dunham around him he has next to zero help.  Im not sure who on that team besides Baldwin n Tucker are BE players.
Hadnt seen them play this year, until tonight and they stink.  MU protects the ball a little better n wins by 30.

Man, sleeping in my own bed and being able to walk to the game would be such a dream
My dream bed would include Barbara Eden as well.

re: #5 This team turns the ball over way too much, no excuse for some of them. If they can cut down on turnovers the sky is the limit.

I agree plenty of good ball movement teams that dont turn it over alot.  Including us recently until reverting tonight

Have to love beating Butler in that stupid old gym of theirs. But I was left with the distinct impression that they mostly just suck this year. That said, took care of business on the road.

Hinckle is the coolest thing about Butler.  It may be the coolest thing about Indianapolis.

He may transfer....he may not.
But, Wojo not playing him is evidence that Wojo wants him to transfer?.......ah no.

Ok...Wojo not playing Cain tonight was not a pressure/push/example/hope/boot/mind game to get Jamal to transfer.

LloydsLegs

One reason for the non-optimal defensive rebounding is Theo contesting shots and then being out of position/not blocking out. I'll take that trade off though.

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

One of the reasons Butler had a lot of offensive rebounds is that they missed a bunch of shot.

Butler had a 29% OR rate.  That's pretty average.

Especially vaunted was the stretch where both Sam and Markus were benched with foul concerns. The guys held their own and proved they belonged.

Not to nit pick but I was pretty worried at this point.  A 17 point lead was cut to 6 in 3 minutes.  Markus went back in and it went back up to 18.  Thought maybe Heldt and Cain might get a little run at that point but no.
