1.   The strength of this team is the team.   Markus, Sam, and Joey all with 3 fouls early in the second half?    No worries.   All 8 guys who played significant minutes played well.
2.  Sacar is just fine.  Very nice game.
3.  I am liking this whole 'winning with defense' thing.
4.  The next guy who whines about hero ball needs to be banned.     Appreciate Markus.   Players like him don't come around that often.
5.   A couple of stretches of sloppy play.    A whole lot of mewling.   It is going to happen with a motion filled, sharing the ball style offense.    Unless you want to see nothing but isolation and more hero ball.  Sometimes turnovers happen.
6.  Before he arrived,  I never dreamed that Bailey would be a difference maker with his defense.
7.   MU survived a slow, sloppy start.    Managed foul troubles.   Absorbed a big run from Butler.   Time to give Wojo some credit.
8.  A little weak on the defensive boards again.    May be my only complaint.
9.  If you aren't already on the bandwagon...... what the hell is wrong with you?

9 for 9 Tower. One of the nicest wins of the season. Nice to finally get that win at Hinkle.

Re 9: Like I said this afternoon, we got this. These guys are for real!

DegenerateDish

All credit to MU, and I'll say it...that Butler team kinda sucks. MU did what they should, beat up on a crap team.

My 9-1 prediction is bad. I want to change to 10-0

PGsHeroes32

D boards in the second half the only real disappointment after the early TOs.

The defense is niiiiiiiiice tho
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

Are those new baby blues?

I believe they made the lines more pronounced. Each jersey has them but there super hard to see.

Marcus92

One of the most impressive and complete wins of the season. Picked Butler (a top 50 team) apart, possession by possession, on both ends of the court. On the road, in one of the toughest environments in the Big East. This Marquette team looks like it's still improving. Look out.

Does our NET ranking go up after this blowout, or does it need to have been over UTEP specifically?

WarriorFan

Great win in a tough environment.

The line-up of Chart/Morrow/Joey/BB/Sacar was successful in their stint when we needed it.

Great win tonight, I really think the best is yet to come. This really is a team.

cheese ball chaser

What an awesome win. This team is so deep. High win margin on the road should help our computer numbers too!

Johnny B

The naysayers saying this is a 6-7 seed need to stuff it now. This is a legit team. no business losing to anyone besides maybe NOVA

that, my friend, is funny edit...I don't know if you meant it as humor, but I got a kick out of it. I am tired of hearing about our inability to move up in NET because of UTEP

..and Joe C hitting a 3!

AlumKCof93

They play so well together, They complement each other and share the ball.  Wojo recruited coachable kids and he's done a great job molding them in to a team.

Final Four bound, calling it now.

warriorfred

This win, at Hinkle, finally . . .  can I get on the bandwagon?

MUEng92

I really enjoy games that the recliner can stayed reclined until the buzzer.

dgies9156

No banning. Markus got his 32 but didn't play hero ball. The way we tossed it around and played as a team was phenomenal.

Especially vaunted was the stretch where both Sam and Markus were benched with foul concerns. The guys held their own and proved they belonged.

I hate to say this but in some ways, maybe Markus' back problems were the best thing that could have happened to this team. They realized they had to win together offensively and all of them have stepped up. God forbid that Markus gets hurt, but there is something special about this team that's gelling right about now.

re: #5 This team turns the ball over way too much, no excuse for some of them. If they can cut down on turnovers the sky is the limit.

GB Warrior

Just gonna watch Joey split the double team, drive and dish to his brother over and over again

lurch91

Props to Wojo, St John's is the biggest game of the season.
