Terrible idea.

And UniWatch won't even make an "I miss Miller Park" shirt because it's "corporate."  Even worse.

The Brewers can't force Miller to pay more money right? So what can they do?

What are they going to do about "Miller Park Way?"  Are they going to keep it like they have "Theodore Trecker Way" in West Allis even though the Quad/Graphics plant hasn't been "Kearney & Trecker" for something like 25 years?

I'm boycotting American Family Insurance now(though I'm USAA for life).

Miller Park was perfect for a team named Brewers.

I wonder if they will move away from the Miller font on their jerseys and go back to the old MB full time.

If there’s any bright side to this, I would say this is it.

Of course they will. From a marketing standpoint, they will sell tons of new themed junk.

I think pretty stupid call by American Family. I would think that most everyone will remain calling it Miller Park.

They are definitely making a big push in Milwaukee. Between this and Summerfest, they have their name on two of the biggest venues.

Good news to me, especially if AmFam outbid Miller by a ton. Brewers get more money to spend, and names of stadiums don't matter.

That’s what I was thinking, why pay all that money when you know everyone is still gonna call it Miller Park?

It will always be Miller Park to me.  And I'll keep calling it that.  Hell, I still call "Panther "Arena" the MECCA.

On a positive note, that frees up money for Miller to possibly sponsor the Fiserv when that contract is up.

Yep. It's Milwaukee. There are people who said they were going to shop at Schuster's in the 90's, even though Gimbels took them over in 1962.

And of course, all those people who refer to Marquette as the Warriors.   ;D

Probably because they won't. American Family will brand the crap out of it and if they do it well, five years from now barely anyone will call it Miller Park.

Another plus -  my guess is that Miller won't have brand exclusivity anymore, and perhaps they will have better beer choice at the stadium.
Have some patience, FFS.

I’m in the group that probably won’t ever call it anything but Miller Park.

This is true.  "New Comiskey" became The Cell pretty darn quickly.  When the Sox have a string of winning seasons, fans will naturally begin calling the same park some version of Guaranteed Rate.  Hell, even Willis Tower is catching on.

Might just be a Milwaukee thing, but I hear the MECCA called the MECCA a whole lot more than the UW-M Panther Arena.  I think it'll continue to be called Miller Park for quite a while.

It’s the product in the building/stadium that matters.
