Wojo only gets the easy 4 star combo guard recruits.

GB Warrior

An article from earlier in the week quoted him as deciding on 2019 after Vermont's season is done. I'd really like to see him next year unless there's a big fish on the grad transfer market

I feel the same. Get him here as fast as possible as a lot can happen between now and 2020.

That's always been my complaint.  ;-)
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

No mention of 2019 as of yet.

Congrats to the entire staff but especially Coach Killings for his first big win on the recruiting front.

Already an upgrade over Carawell!

Excited about this commit. Welcome, Symir!

"He has incredible basketball IQ and pair that with his gifted motor, and you have one of the best defensive players in all of high school basketball," Popp said. "On the offensive end, Symir gives you a shot maker, a playmaker, and an overall scorer. He is stellar with advancing the basketball in transition, he is phenomenal in the pick-and-roll, and he is even effective in the low post. Above all, he is a guy that other players want to play with. Talented players and coaches are attracted to his personality, disposition and ability to make everyone around him better."

Well, I'm sold.

uhhhhhh... yeah this is pretty much exactly what I want to hear out of a commit. great get!

Lots of praise for his defense, toughness and leadership abilities

The type of tough player we have been needing for quite some time.   Glad we are going back to the old type of MU players.

Can we have him come now? Give him the Joey Hauser timeline

Figure I'll try to nip this one in the bud rather than wait four years. Hope it helps!

I think he might want to finish his high school season first.......

Excellent research report on Symir from the local Syracuse paper.

https://www.syracuse.com/orangebasketball/2019/01/syracuse-native-symir-torrence-a-class-of-2020-guard-picks-a-college.html

Cited the fact that MU guards were upperclassmen was attractive. So while he could reclassify, he may stick with the 2020 timeline .

From an MU standpoint would be good to get him signed up this spring. His stock is going to rise significantly if he stays another year in high school.

Two great wins in one day ... and this was the more important one!

Ring out ahoya, Symir!

I'm just amazed that a 4-star, top-50-ish player would choose Marquette even though not a single Scooper changed his/her screen name!

Welcome to Marquette, Symir!

Another great pickup by Wojo and staff.

Good to see Symir getting torrents  of welcoming respect.

A gallant effort, but I fear it will be futile.

Bet we'll see plenty of autocorrect Seymours.
