Only an idiot would have feared a loss today, even trailing by six in second half. The angst is over a horrible performance.

Oh I agree. But I’ll be honest, I’m not surprised they came out tight, after the Indiana spanking that tends to happen to teams.

Now, as patient as I’ve been with Wojo that is fully on him not pressing the right buttons to where this team came out firing and burying Presbyterian in the ground.

Certainly not as optimistic as I was preseason, but it is a looong season. I’ll save my pitchfork sharpening until a later date.

He just needs to ignore Wojo and play his game.  Against UMBC, he took a wide open three and missed horribly.  Wojo yanked him immediately and yelled at him.  I think he has been playing scared since then.

Probably good advice for all the guys. As they showed in first half when Wojo pulled him out and then grabbed on to him and tried to “coach” him, Chartouney basically looked at him like “whatever dude.”

Extend him

Or. Let the games/season play out and not make statements after 3 games into a season with a new roster...

Are you joking?  Very different offense with JC out there.

Do you mean Cheatham over Duane? I don't think Cheatham played PG much when Carter was here.

Wrong. They came in the same recruiting class. Wojo hell bent on square peg on round hole playing Cheatham at PG most of that season.

He’s not. It’s whatever fits his narrative. See “slap of five.”

We've attempted more 3 pointers than 2 pointers.  Design some plays and take the ball to the f-ing rack.  This is pathetic.
that's what basketball  is now like it or not.

Good lineup

Markus
Joe C
Joey
Sam
Theo

Just that Theo had foul issues again and wasn’t clicking. Good for Joe, came out of shell

I thought Wojo did a good job pulling him to the side early in the game, leaving him in the second half to play through it.  If you are going to criticize, you should also acknowledge the good coaching moves, too.

Wojos just trying to lull Kansas into a false sense of security.

How’s that Alabama Citadel game going?  Please don’t bring your silly analogies here.

Reeks of desperation to try to equate a National Championship Alabama football team coached by Saban, being off to a slow start to an MU basketball team under Wojo.

You miss the point.  If the #1 team in the country playing at home against THE CITADEL can be tied at the half, that should tell you it can happen to anyone, including Marquette.  But as also stated, Bama would win and so will we.

If you want a different example, Notre Dame trailing at the half at home to 1-3 William and Mary.  ND currently up 2 points with 11 minutes to play.

Got to give him until year 8.

No year 13- the McCarthy precedent. Cheese heads are very patient.

I don't think this is correct. Traci ran the point whenever he was in the game with Cheatham and got 24 minutes a game.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

The funny thing about that was we were only 4 points from covering. Regression to the mean.

Whew.  I just remembered I have something that will prevent me from being near a TV or radio on Wednesday night.  I don't know what it is yet, but I'll definitely not be able to get to a TV.

Also, KenPom has us down for a 85-64 win. So really, not far off at all.

In the end, we win by 19, and if we had made a few wide open shots in the first half, we would have won in laugher by a 30+ margin and held a team averaging 91 points per game to 55.
