The 8:00 start probably doesn't help, but I'm seeing a lot of available tickets on the various ticket sites. Curious as to what the actual attendance will be tomorrow rather than paid attendance. I would hope there will be at least 15,000 for the first real game.  I am looking forward to it despite the fact it'll be a late night with the drive home. Should be a fun atmosphere.

I am driving up from Chicago after work, so I will yell as loud as I can from the upper deck. So that accounts for like the power of 5 people.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

15k? Maybe 5.

Really?? I'd be stunned and disappointed if it is that low. I have to think there will be at least 10k.

Why? On a Tuesday night? Biggest draw will be the Forum and obviously hardcore fans, if 8k show up would be impressive.

I'm expecting 10k+. It won't sustain those levels for buy games, but the opener at the Forum will bring people out, especially as UMBC does still have some of their 15-minute glow about them.

Chick and I will be there accounting for 100% of the 'important' people.   ;D

In all seriousness, why the heck not for any season ticket or mini plan holder?

Jay Bee

Real question. Will be in town Saturday - group of 6. Staying st The Intercontinental. Any brunch and/or before-game bar advice/suggestions?

Under 10k. Big election night, really lousy game.

I checked online a week ago on the single ticket sales to see how many seats were left. When I checked it looked like everything aside from the top third/half of the upper deck was filled.

I can't check it now since I'm on my phone.

Hard to tell by that, since some seats are set aside still for season tickets and mini plans.

Engine Company 3 for brunch.

Cafe Benelux or Sweet Diner in the Third Ward are trendy places fairly close... About a mile. Major Goolsby (sp?) is real close to Intercontinental and FF, pro MU but kinda divey.

For brunch I would go with wicked hop or maybe Toast or Cafe Benelux as someone else said.

For pregame bar that whole 3rd ward area is going to be hopping Saturday. Who's on third and buck Bradley's is where I'll likely be! Always a good time at those places!

Have some patience, FFS.

Mr. Sand-Knit

Mad Rooster good for sure, but a little out of the way.
Pfister brunch deserves a tip of the cap.

You can get first row uppers for $9.  That's less than face.  Doesn't seem to be much demand.

If you are willing to travel a bit south down KK for brunch, Honeypie is amazing.

I also like rumpus room for beverages. Nice beer selection.

Honeypie is good.

Cafe centraal is good. Best of the hollander/benalux/centraal trio. Bit out of the way.

Mad rooster is great and very big portions. Large Omelets come with lots of potatoes and 2 pancakes.

Brunch just off of wells is supposed to be good.

Have heard great things about Sweet Diner but both times I've been there I've been stuck with their limited menu

Driving up from Chicago (St Charles actually) with my grandson after his school day.  Hope there is a decent crowd....
