YouTube TV subscribers: Acting on a tip from a friend, I just got $10/month off for the next 6 months.

It's kinda similar to last time, but I didn't have to threaten to cancel today. I just logged into my account, went to Settings, found Base Plan (under Membership tab) and clicked on Select. It then simply asked me if I wanted the next 6 months at $72.99 each, which of course I did.

I used a laptop vs smartphone to log on; I have no idea if that matters or not but I remembered that it did last time.

My friend said he heard that sometimes the offer is even a little better, though I have no proof of that. I was perfectly happy to save the $60. Anyhoo, good luck to all who try it.

I also posted this on one of the investing sites I frequent, and they also reported mixed results. One guy said he first tried it on his smartphone and didn't see it, but he did see it when he went on his desktop.
