I wonder what the line will be in Delaware on the Marquette-St. John's game.

Incredibly smart of the tbt guys to do the big east pod. I'm guessing the attendance will be the highest of the tournament at the AL.

also I was correct in assuming marquette was automatically in the tournament. TBT knows where the views come from.

Derek and Jake should be just what we need
Maybe we can get Todd Mayo and complete the reunion.
Winning is overrated. The only time it is really important is in surgery and war.

Nice!

What's not nice is the 4 dudes on the team that didn't go to Mu. Must have had a hard time this year.

Why is that a problem?

If anyone wants to go and hasn't pulled the trigger on tickets, I have 4 for the full tournament that I can no longer use.  PM me and I can email them over free of charge.  I just don't want them to go to waste.

The only problem I have is that, according to his bio, Cinmeon Bowers' last played professionally overseas "Before 1950".
He may tend to get winded quickly.

Well it's called the Golden Eagles alumni team and we made a big deal about this being a big east pod and half our team didn't play for us or the Big East. Consider me on the side of disappointed.

I mean it’s basically a bunch of guys players no together in the off season. Don’t worry too much about it.

I'm not worrying about it by any means I just mean if it's going to be billed as an MU alumni team it should be MU alumni. This is MU and friends or something like Milwaukee b-ball would include that one UW-Milwaukee guy

Sort of disappointed in this team and especially disappointed that we couldn't fill it out with actual MU alumni

I'm betting that you would be even more disappointed in the lack of height without those three guys.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Just think of them as post-graduate transfers and call it a day.

The St. John's, Seton Hall and Georgetown "Alumni" teams all have multiple players that never played college ball in the BigEast.

Its hard to get guys for many reasons: not in shape, don’t care, don’t want to get injured, have contractual obligations, don’t want to spend the money, looking for other opportunities.........

Heard Joe Chapman on a podcast today. Said the MU big guys weren't available for one reason or another this summer.

He mentioned DG, Chris, Luke and Ooze.

If the players don't care, it's hard for me to care too much this time, to be honest with you.

I hope all who go (or watch on TV) enjoy.

It seems like the momentum for this entire thing is draining. We will see if it’s still around in a few years.
