Anyone know if there will be an MU Alum team in TBT 2018?

If Rowsey isn't on it it's rigged.

He probably wouldn't be. Most recent grads don't play because they need to find a steady paying job first.

I mean, looks like voting is already well underway and no mention of the MU team anywhere.

Fitz hasn't tweeted anything about the TBT either.

Fine, fine. Maybe Wade will retire and take up the mantle.

Maybe Marquette has gotten to the level of play + support that they don’t need to be voted in.

Thank god, this has made the off-season go by so much faster. That one season where there was the TBT and the Europe trip it was like there was no offseason

I ran into Joe Chapman in February and asked him about the TBT.  I was a "little" tipsy, seeing how it was at Midwinter Brewfest, but I believe he said he isn't playing but would be coaching.  Can't remember if it was with Wes or instead of Wes.

Why would he want to?  Serious question.

Are we sure he wouldn’t play for the UGA alumni team?

Has any retired NBA superstar played in TBT?

You guys honestly have no clue......

Even in retirement.....

Wade's "appearance" fee will be in the 6 digits......

And if he makes it to the Hall of Fame......

That will likely continue for the next 10 years......

He will do some stuff for free for "favorite" charities or maybe some Marquette functions.....

He will never play in a 3 on 3 tournament......

Back in the day......Used to work in the same building as "Walter" and knew his comings and goings because we helped him out with his computers.....He had people/appointments coming in all day long to want to sign him to "contracts/deals" and give him "monies".....All day.....Every day.....and those were the ones where he actually took the appointments......

Not that I am aware of.

I am not much of an NBA fan, and last year, I only recognized a handful of names that weren't Marquette players, and even then, most of those I remembered from their college days.

After posting my question, I found on wikipedia the following sentence: "TBT has previously had a number of current and former National Basketball Association (NBA) players participate, including Jason Williams, Dahntay Jones, Mike Bibby, Royal Ivey, Matt Bonner, and Brian Scalabrine." Not exactly superstars.

I agree it would be thrilling to have Wade join the MU TBT team. I also think the question of "why would he want to?" is pertinent. And, I agree that he's more likely to go for paid appearances than to play in TBT.

It was a hyperbolic suggestion in the first place guys...

But since it's now treated as a real suggestion, of course there's no there's no chance.

I seem to recall him showing up to madness and scrimmaging during the NBA lockout my junior year. Doubt MU paid him six digits for that...
