He wasn't that good at Jacobs. Scored, but against guys much smaller. Disappeared against anyone with size. Soft as the Pillsbury Dough Boy.

It was still a game ... Loyola only down 8 ... and Sister Jean gets wheeled out of the arena.

Reading his lips, I could see one Rambler say to another, "Shyte, even God thinks we're toast. Why even bother?"

OK, that last line didn't happen ... but really, why even bother believing in miracles if the Lord's gonna bolt a winnable game with 2 minutes to go?

Seriously, I enjoyed the Loyola run. Every tournament is better if an underdog goes a long way.

Also, watching Wagner, I couldn't help thinking that could have been us last season had Henry stayed another year.

Fun run.  I enjoyed every minute, even the last 10 minutes.  NCAAs are the bomb.

Michigan had to fill their student section with Air Force personnel.  Sad.  5th Place Maui team in F2.

Cheered for Loyola as I have an MBA from there. My heart wasn't in it though as I'm a Warrior.

At the end, Loyola just was worn out by a stronger, deeper Michigan team. They played well but Michigan had more talent and had been through the Big 10 ringer, while Loyola played Indiana State, SIU, Illinois State, Western Illinois etc. There's a huge difference and in the end it showed.

Hats off to Porter Moser and Loyola.

And gang, there's a special place on Satan's hot seat for people who are mean to nuns! Be nice to Sister Jean.
