Good memory. Do you remember capacity prior to going to 11,052? I used to love Johnny Owens announcing the attendance, 'tonight's attendance, a sellout". Pretty much summed things up.

I am sure you can hold your own. As for me, as I am often reminded on here, am an old man and mere shadow of my former self.

just throwing this out there but i am assuming Harvard got a handful of tickets, could be one of their fans posting on stubhub.

Got me on that one, remember the 11,052 from my obsessive looking over of boxscores in my youth.

Thanks.  What I remember is that they added some seats at places where the row was no longer needed and access could be provided another way. What I also seem to remember is that those new seats were a red cloth in contrast to the 'pleather' seats that remained.  Obviously that's all been redone in the decades since.

Spot on again. Wanted to get the number up over 11k. I'm 54, how many years younger are you?

I'm actually older by a couple tree.  It's chick that makes you think I'm young!   :)

Excellent point!  And probably those ruthless, money-grubbing B-schoolers on top of everything else.
Have some patience, FFS.

Glow is older than dirt.  I, on the other hand, am exactly the same age as dirt.

Sir Lawrence

Just a heads up for those attending tomorrow evening:  parking will be tight.  I recommend street parking and hoof it in.

From the ticket office:

MU Set To Host NIT Game
#MUBB vs. Harvard
Wednesday, March 14 - 6:00 p.m. CT
Al McGuire Center

We encourage you to arrive early to tomorrow's game as parking will be limited in and around campus. We expect the lines to be long to enter the parking garage for those arriving shortly before game time. In advance of the game we wanted to provide you a few details to ensure your game day experience is a great one!

Where: Al McGuire Center, 770 N. 12th St.
When: Game tips at 6 p.m.  Doors open to the arena at 5 p.m.
Tickets: Please have your tickets printed before you arrive and have them out ready to scan as you enter the arena.
Parking: Parking is available on a first come, first served basis for $10 cash per car in the Wells Street Parking Structure located at 1240 W. Wells St. Access into the structure is available via the entrances at both Wells and Kilbourn Streets. Cash is the only accepted method of payment in the Wells Street Parking Structure for this event. We also would encourage carpooling to the game or utilizing shared ride services such as Uber.

11,052 if I remember correctly.

I searched on bing and 12.7k was the first thing to come up but that's probably max capacity then given all the other links posted.

With under 11k for basketball games I'm even more convinced that this is the best venue for a game against Oregon. Don't understand why people are "surprised" that the Harvard game was a sellout. Just don't get it. Tournament bball is tournament bball and people show up.

OMG - I remembered that too!  And before checking I'm gonna say 10,746 before that (and come back and edit if I'm wrong).

You know you have a top tier program when the average fan knows capacity of the barn, band director, head trainer and PA guy. When you win, you take it all in.

Yep. We've had some really nice years under KO, TC and Buzz, but it was simply a different level under Al.

Remembering Owens give the official attendance wasn't that hard given that it was the same (sellout) game after game after game. When he would start to make the announcement, my brothers and I would actually announce the number with him. Guess that's part of the reason the various capacities have stuck with me for all those years.

I'd have to guess the exact capacity of the BMO.  Closest I can get without looking is that it's closer to 19K than 18K. And I have no clue if it has changed over the years.

That @$$clown has since lowered his price to $225, what a tool!

The MU ticket office should find out who bought:

Section 115, Row C, Seats 3-6

And, revoke his SEASON TICKETS!

^Section 115 guy is a broker. He has tons of tickets for sale on craigslist for Bucks, Brewers etc

Yep—Brian D. He's one of the few white guy scalpers, in a sea of black guy guy scalpers. He's always down on the NE entrance to the BC slinging his tickets.
