What is your position on the influence of sports betting on college sports and the need to keep things transparent to keep the wrong people out of the locker room?

If people want to bet on college sports, they can. It's not an issue. There are plenty of avenues that make it possible.

No but we have had a few sponsors inquire about ad space.

Just read this ...

Seems while you are all laughing at the idea that college sports can be corrupted by betting, despite it long and numerous history of exactly that happening, there is a move to legalize sports betting nationwide (including college) and this has the NCAA very worried that this will affect the integrity of college sports.

So when nationwide sports betting is legalized, and Potawatomi has a big book (including online) on MUBB, should the MU SID continue to take his time to spell HHIPPPAAA correctly rather than getting the info out about the status of the Big East's leading scorer out ASAP?  (again, the specific alignment is not necessary, just his status to the team) The ruling is expected by summer and this could be the case next season.

Again, this is not about letting up an advantage to the opposing team, this is to make everything transparent to keep betting sharks out of the locker room.

I don't think anyone was laughing about the impact of gambling on college athletics.

I don't think we need one to give an accurate diagnosis.

True story, I thought it meant "lots of love" for way longer than I should have. And I'm a millennial.

I also agree with J5 that no one was laughing about the impact of gambling on college athletics.

There is no such a thing as useful inside information.

Tips are highly over rated, just food for stimulating the gross at the book.

O.K. here goes.

What is our game plan?  Will it work, how will it be influenced by their game plan.
What is their game plan?  What is their contingency plan?
How will the game be called?
How many days rest has either team had?
How do we match up against them?
Which team is more motivated?
How about the learning curve.
Are their any big spenders betting the farm on the game?

The list of variables are endless, therefore, insider information is a joke.

I know we love mega-data, algorithms, spreadsheets, and model's, but the game will still be played and the touts will sell their tips.

I'm sticking with my thesis that nobody over 30 should use LOL. Maybe not even anybody over 19, but I don't want to be unreasonable!

Seriously, can you believe what people who use that acronym find funny? They'd probably choke to death on real actual humor.

It's not as stupid as the using the "laughing so much I'm crying" emoji for everything, which I read recently is the most popular one.

I am grateful that the Scoop PTB severely limit the emoji choices.
Have some patience, FFS.
