Asking for a friend...
Just kidding, I'm asking for me. I have a weird situation and trying to figure out my options.

David Gruber - one call that's all guy - sits behind the MU bench.

Go to the game tonight and bump into him?

Scoop is probably the last place I'd be looking for a lawyer.

Granted, I am married to one, and she'd be pretty pissed if I did.  So if I ever come to Scoop looking for a lawyer, it's a pretty safe bet I'd be looking for a divorce lawyer in a few months... though probably not on Scoop.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Most lawyers are pretty specialized these days, so it would probably help if you briefly described the situation. It could be very general, like "real estate issue," "dispute with neighbor," "employment issue," "estate or tax question," etc.

Plenty of lawyers on here.

Also "Internet-enabled" Orthopods, fly fishermen, and basketball coaches. Scoop is the source for all things Scoopable.

"One post, we know it all".

Actually, plenty of great real life lawyers on here.

I play one on TV.

There were a series of commercials a few years back in which Richard Dysart, the old coot who played the big honcho on L.A. Law, was in a lab coat, pitching some big-pharma product.

Just once, I wanted to hear him say:

"I'm not a doctor, but I played a lawyer on TV."

I second this.  People are very specialized, and a lot of very experienced lawyers might have absolutely nothing to offer you.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

+1.  If you can give up the general topic, I'm sure one of us can give you advice.

If it's a motorcycle injury, I highly suggest the Law Tigers.  Because they ride, too, evidently.  Honestly, I have no clue who those people are, but I think anyone billing themselves as any manner of big feline firm deserves a look.

If you're in Nevada and need a boxing champion with a JD, I suggest Joey Gilbert.

There's a personal injury attorney here in KC named Brad Bradshaw with billboards all around.  Every time we drive by someone gives it the "Bob Loblaw" treatment
