Kolek should know better than to take the bait when asked a loaded question. Nothing to gain, and much to lose.

Because I know how to Google, I read a couple articles on this. Brown made a point of saying "for now," indicating he'd have no problem going back to Alvarado if Kolek struggles, but he said Kolek has earned the promotion by playing well.

I also saw this:

Kolek has 31 assists with only two turnovers.

According to Fadeaway, the Knicks are scoring 122.2 points per 100 possessions with the third-year guard on the floor. And the defensive concerns are fading.

New York is holding opponents to 107.7 points per, in a trend that's pointed up.

According to NBA.com, Kolek leads the NBA in total assists, maximum 100 minutes played. He's a conduit for good buckets, with just an 11.4% usage rate.

So I guess how he plays matters more than what he says about celebrity fans. Who'da guessed that?
