Good. The best thing that can happen for Kolek is to get included in a trade during the season.

Extremely optimistic NBA projection for Minnesale.  I like his in depth analysis of his game though!

Don't know who Minnesale is, but hope Minessale turns out this good!

Really hope he's right that Minessale is actually a better 3-point shooter than a career's worth of stats indicate.

And if this guy is right about all of this - that NM is lottery-pick material - we're gonna win the Big East.

NM being a top 30 nba pick with all things being equal...we're an insane team.

Hope he does or soon people will be calling him 4
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Yeah that seems crazy (being an NBA level talent) but if your scroll down his tweets he seems to have really scouted Nolan in depth and it makes a lot of sense in terms of his role with this Marquette roster really meshing with his strengths...

SchnitzelBoy

I feel like this conclusion would be more plausible if the analysis were in the context of a successful Big East campaign. I'm pretty sure Nolan is going to be awesome for MU regardless of whether or not it turns into NBA draft buzz.

The only way he's forced to replicate last season's usage rate is if Nigel gets hurt, so he'll need to be ultra efficient with his scoring and productive when he's the primary ballhandler. I've heard good things about his defense as well but that really needs to be proven on the court against high-major talent.

If this dude is "NBA-ready" this season and decides to come back to play with NJ/Royce/Adrien, then MU is going to be unnatural carnal knowledgeing dangerous for the next 2 seasons

MU82

Not just NBA-level talent, but lottery-pick talent.

That would be absolutely awesome ... but, optimist that I am, I'm pretty skeptical about that.

Yes that is not in evidence I agree - I worded my post poorly - I am impressed by the in depth scouting report he provided and find his conclusion that he is a great fit with this roster pretty convincing - would love to see him used as it is suggested - only taking spot up threes and jumpers, only playing as a second lead guard not as a primary back up at point etc.  His size, passing ability and natural feel for the game/IQ - lower usage with big impact.  That would be great.

Congratulations!  38 minutes as a freshman.

If only he could have shot 3s, he'd have had a chance to make it in the NBA.

Seriously ... way to go, Oso! One of all-time favorite Warriors. Hard worker, smart as hell, and a great guy!

Eye roll.  Wojo was a dipsh$t.  We get it.

Agreed.  Congratulations to him and his development.  Wojo being a dipsh$t for not playing him his freshman year not withstanding.

He was injured his freshman year. And wasn't very good when he was healthy. It's like freshman sometimes get better at basketball and there is an adjustment period going from high school to college sometimes.

Ok.  Then say he was injured.  People are using "he only played 38 min his freshman year" as an example of how players develop, even if they are objectively way less gifted than Oso.

It's tiresome.

Imjury was with about 6 games to go.

The Sultan

He was pretty clearly not ready as a freshman. Not sure why anyone had to bring up Wojo anyway...

Oso developed a ton at Marquette.

Shooter McGavin

He wasn't clearly anything his freshman year.  No one could tell in 38 minutes. Shaka somehow, whether through need or recognition of talent played him appropriately his sophomore (freshman) year.

Ah. Yes. The "guy who doesn't play is better than we think" theory. Undefeated.

He wasn't all that much as a sophomore either.
