I just watched rare archival footage from the Knicks' win over the Celtics in Game 7 of the 1973 Eastern Conference finals - the first Game 7 playoff loss in Celtics history.

Dean Meminger played so well on both ends of the court that Knicks coach Red Holtzman benched Earl Monroe for three quarters. Dean the Dream played 36 minutes, and finished with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

The Knicks went on to beat the Lakers for the title - their last championship until the one they won last week.

They should have given the Most Valuable award to Jack Madden. The Knicks only got to the finals because of theivery. Fifty plus years since and I've never seen anything as obvious.

He will.  Yesterday was just game 1 of 8 over the next 2 weeks.

The Vegas games starting next week are the more competitive ones anyways.

Ditto. When we lived in Charlotte, we'd occasionally go to Culver's as a poor man's substitute for good frozen custard and good cheese curds.

Bucks just announced the signing today so obviously couldn't play before being signed.

Barring a bunch of backcourt injuries (as happened last season), the Knicks just have too much depth for Kolek to play. They actually have more depth at the position now than they did a year ago.

A trade would be best got him.
