Herro nailed da game winner. Hellofa playa, hey?

He is a good player.  Was he really coming to Marquette if Wojo wanted him?  Would Kentucky have won out in the end anyway even if we offered?  Do you have inside info that he was a done deal to MU if offered a scholarship?  Did the Hausers really nix the deal?  Is all this revisionist history?

In the end, does it make a difference now?  The Shaka era has begun.

On one side of the ball, at least.

Too bad the Hausers didn't want to play with him, hey?

Hausers keeping Herro away really speaks to the character of them, aina?

I kinda doubt that was a true story, but who knows?  I do think that Herro's dad was/is bad news, so dealing with him may have scared away Wojo and Co. from even offering.

In the end Herro made the absolute right decision going to Kentucky, and it has paid off for him.

Just says they wanted to win.  They're winners.  See all their NCAA Tournament wins after leaving Marquette.

Their basketball IQs were so far beyond what anyone at Marquette had.  They just wanted guys like Ed Morrow and Theo John to have as many opportunities to shoot the ball as the all time leading scorer in Big East history.  They get it.

The general thinking at the time was the Hauser’s said they wouldn’t play with Herro. However, I don’t think Herro was coming here if we recruited him or not. I think the general thought was he was going to a blue blood to be one and done.

There’s a lot of revisionist history about the Herro recruiting with regards to Marquette by the mopes.  Wojo and staff were recruiting him hard early but there wasn’t a lot of reciprocation.

I’m friends with someone whose son was in the local travel circuit at the same time as Herro.  It was a big shock that he committed to UW because no one thought he was going local.  It was also widely thought that commitment was very soft.

In the end, it worked out for Herro and gave UW-Madison another villain

We have a topic about the Hausers. Herro isn’t a former Marquette player.

Can we keep this on topic please?

And while we are at it, lets stop saying hausers in this thread. Only one of them will ever sniff the NBA

Miami Heat have zero bench this year. This is great for him. I am glad he has a chance.

Take it to the Hauser thread. This is for graduates and people who leave early. Sam is neither.

I never understand anonymous people stubbornly doubling down on odd mistakes when being called out. It's like redditors who post in the wrong thread and flip out when being told "umm you're lost"

Playing a sad song for those still butthurt about the Hauser's leaving a terrible situation.

Yet these same people still butthurt are the ones that ran Wojo out for the same reasons the Hauser's left. That is what is odd.
