DJ Carton playing for the TWolves in Summer League.  Looks really good.  Would not be surprised to see him get a shot in the next season or two.  Putting up good numbers in the G League and certainly looks the part. Athleticism is still unreal, distribution and vision is good, and he’s really quick on D.

An elite athlete.  Wish we could have had him more than one year and playing for a competent coach.

Problem is he’s not a shooter. Unless that improves significantly, he has almost no chance of sticking around.

Instant impact?    All about the hustle.    Scoring 17 points without a single play being called for him.     Still doing the things that got him drafted.

Suprised that his coach didn't mention lack of blocks. Although O-Max did state everyone is looking to block the shot Apparently not everyone.

The Athletic's Stan Son looked at each team's main Summer League participants. Here's their take on Prosper and Cain:

Prosper was one of the biggest risers in the pre-draft process and was eventually selected by the Mavericks with the 24th overall pick. He’s 6-foot-8 and 230 pounds with a 7-foot-1 wingspan. He converted 33% of his attempts from downtown in college and was 4-of-14 in four games in Las Vegas. He’s looked explosive and had some impressive dunks while showing off the handles and punishing smaller defenders in the post. The defense was solid and the stroke from outside and the free-throw line looked good. If he can’t shoot, though, then it’s going to be difficult for Prosper to… prosper this season because the Mavs are not going to run out a 0-and-D player.

I just wanted to write up Cain so that I could insert: Cain is able. I’m the worst. Anyways, I do like Cain. He did some things in Summer League last year and earned a contract from Miami. He’s 6-foot-6, 191 pounds and athletic. He’s a good cutter, crashes the boards and can space the floor. He’s a G League guy, but if given the opportunity, I think he can contribute.

No mention of Joey in the Utah section.

Man, all that digital ink spilled for O-Max and Cain but Joey doesn't even get a letter?

So did Jimmy...

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/shakira-getting-progressively-closer-jimmy-170240317.html
“They've been getting progressively closer over the past several weeks,” an insider exclusively tells Us Weekly of Shakira, 46, and Butler, 33. “Jimmy makes Shakira smile, and she's really enjoying getting to know him on a deeper level.”
