To be fair, if you keep gators and other reptiles well fed, especially hand fed, they are pretty damn docile.

HOWEVA, that thing is only 7 years old.  Its gonna at least double in size and even a love nibble will take your hand off.

The other thing people always fail to realize is that cold blooded animals like reptiles don't have emotional attachment and affection like mammals or even birds.  That thing doesn't love you.  Tameness isn't love.  I used to have a gecko that was amazing.  Super tame and "friendly", recognized me and reacted excitedly even when not hungry, but even the most aloof cat has more affection and love for its owner than he did.
