MUScoop daily challenge:  Insert "Shiver me timbers" into conversation today.

“Shiver Me Timbers” is a song by Tom Waits. Google it, give it a listen. Like most of his stuff it’s very well written.

Among many drunken Seton Hall fans ,at the Big East Tournament Semi Final against MU, one particular lunatic was yelling “ Go Pirates, Shiver Me Timber’s”

"A" drunken Seton hall fan? There were easily 100 of them, probably more. They stayed around long after they lost the championship game to Villanova just so they could boo loudly during the trophy presentation. Even Kentucky fans have more class than that, and that's setting a low bar.

Weren't ejected, the umpire wanted them moved for safety.  (Or "safety" ump show style)

It started raining 2 minutes later.  But the game was finished without a delay.

Actually it was an ejection, as envisioned by MLB rules. Rule 9.01 states that "Each umpire has authority at his discretion to eject from the playing field (1) any person whose duties permit his presence on the field, such as ground crew members, ushers, photographers, newsmen, broadcasting crew members, etc., and (2) any spectator or other person not authorized to be on the playing field."

Yep, but the story referring to an ejection was on the MLB's website. I'll go with their semantics.

And if you look at the video and his emphatic body language, he certainly wasn't asking them to leave...

We do have board participants that go on recruiting visits, we shouldn’t have to pay for that info

New Year's Day 2022 falls on a Saturday.  Normally when a Federal Holiday falls on a Saturday it is observed the preceding Friday, however, the Friday right before New Year's Day is also a Federal Holiday, so is the Government just stealing a day off from us next year, or does it get pushed through to Jan 3rd, the following Monday?
