Is PFsHeroes32 Chico?

Because I don't enjoy blowing leads I can't possible be a unique individual?

Suggestion, view my profile before making stupid assumptions

What did I double down on?

Since the game has been completed I've either explained myself or heaped praise.

You are really, really bad at reading.

That is change I'd make right there. Sadly, you're gonna have to do handle that on your own.

You are terrible at insults.  This wasn't even amusing much less insulting.  Try harder.

As for the team? I'd sit guys who take horrible shots when wasting the clock. If a guy can't make free throws put another one out there that can.

I would also make a change in the 5 that are playing big moments late. If you ain't making plays, get off the court.

I would also teach these guys to know when to give the ball up. Duane should not look to be fouled when Markus is wide open next to him.

This is a team of nine players.  Two of them were fouled out.  Two of them (JJJ and Rowsey) were sitting because they made multiple bone-headed plays.

And who do you want to take out cause they didn't make free throws?  Haanif?  He's an 83% FT shooter.

And you are bitching at Duane who went 2/2 on the line?

I will grant you that Katin's shot in regulation was terrible.  But you take him out and you don't have him perfect from the line in OT.

They showed mental toughness tonight when they needed to.  Progress.

You really think Chicos could go that many posts without name dropping?
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Where did I try to be funny? Clearly you were offended, you add to try and deflect it.

Great try.

Once again(it's getting sad at this point) I don't speak in hindsight. The guy shooting 66% at the line over the last 1.5 years is not a better option then the 96%.

If David Ortiz steals a base it doesn't make it a smart play just because it happened to work.

You do realize that right? By your logic Katin shot would have been smart if he happened to make it.

Thank god he didn't, I'd feel bad having to read you say that.

Also for the record I'm a firm believer in not firing a coach until at least 1 full recruiting rotation.

In pros you gotta give him at least 3.

It's sad seeing the same bad teams firing coach after coach and not realize it's a major reason why they are bad

Blowing a 7 pt lead with 30 seconds left

We didn't blow the lead. We won the game. Not pretty. Far from flawless. Marquette made some poor decisions at times down the stretch, and was as outmatched on the defensive boards as I can remember. But they got the win. Maybe that doesn't deserve any credit from your point of view — but that's what counts in the standings.

Dude, there really is nothing you can say to offend me.  I really don't care all that much what you think of me.

But you can keep making illogical points.  The guys you wanted to bench are the guys who were keys to the game and in OT.  Just ranting and ravings without any logic.

It obviously is offending you though. Considering you keep taking it as me trying to offend you. You can't read, I'm simply trying to help.

Talk about no logic. You claim something is a good move because it worked 1 time. That's the worst logic possible.

Our boyz show some real cajones gutting out a tough win against a quality opponent despite facing significant adversity throughout the game ... and we're supposed to be embarrassed by something?

Think even about the guys who screwed up ... Katin takes that boneheaded 3 but he swishes all his FTs in OT and comes up with a huge hustle rebound ... JJJ was pretty bad most of the game but makes two sensational shots in OT ... etc.

To anybody who knows anything about sports, being able to bounce back despite one's own foibles is a sign of mental toughness and intestinal fortitude.

And yet somebody is supposed to be embarrassed by something?

I'm thrilled with the victory, and proud to be a Warrior.

And you wanted to bench anyone who took a bad shot or missed free throws.  Which apparently means you wanted Deon Franklin on the floor at the end of the game.

So I judge your proposed changes to be...stupid.

Wrong again. Markus missed a free throw. Glad he barely came out.

Matt missed one too. Great game.

Carry on

Or was Reinhardts shot a good shot in your opinion?

I didn't mind it. There was still over two minutes left with a single digit lead. He's a good shooter and had a wide open three. If he made it we'd be praising him for launching the dagger.

You cannot be serious. That shot, made or missed, was as bad as the one Buycks took against Louisville a few years back. There was 2:16 left in the game and 26 seconds left on the shot clock. And we're up 8. We don't need a stinking "dagger". We need the clock to move and to make free throws. Seton Hall ended up scoring and cutting the lead to 6 fifteen seconds BEFORE we even needed to launch a shot. Dumb, dumb, dumb, low bball IQ move by a grad transfer senior.

The most frustrating this about this season is how close we seem to being pretty good.

That's pretty much the definition of a bubble team. At times we'll look really good. Other times, not so much. Expect more close games — including a win or two we weren't predicted to get, and a loss or two the same way.

I agree with everything in your post, Mike. Our guys were true Warriors for most of the game and all of the OT. I'm ecstatic we won this game.

But if you're not at least a little concerned about a near epic collapse down the stretch (our second in 10 days) you're not being realistic.

I'd have rather held on in regulation, absolutely. I wish Haani had made those FTs; the game would have been over. So I guess "concerned" is an OK word to use.

But the OP was about being embarrassed.

Not in the least. We showed major cajones in OT and we won the game. Embarrassed? Hell, I'm proud as hell of the lads.
