Just as the wins over Providence, Creighton, Butler, Wisconsin, LSU and Georgia didn't count, landing Henry, Markus, Hauser, Haani and now Froling don't count.

I mean, take away all of his recruits and he's a bad recruiter.

Gotta be a good pickup. Not sure if it measures up to the hype. Have no meaningful evaluation of the kid - saw some video, he doesn't look exceptionally physical, but he has good bloodline. Definitely will help in practice. Just don't see this as transformational. All that said, here's hoping he has a very successful and productive stay at MU.

A recruit doesn't need to be "transformational" to be a good pickup.

For those wondering, Samson would be in the class of 2018. Currently ranked #248 by 247 composite. Will say that international players are consistently under ranked by most recruiting services.

"Another thing that really attracted me to Marquette was the Henry Ellenson situation," said Froling, referring to the former Golden Eagles big man who became a first-round NBA draft pick. "I know I'm not Henry, but we do have some similar attributes and the way Coach demonstrated how he changes the offense and plays to his team was awesome. As long as I hold up my end of the bargain and give it my all, there's no reason I don't see myself playing a huge role in the success of Marquette in the near and distant future."

I think someone mentioned that Henry was going to be a huge selling point for young Mr. Froling. Also, if I understand the rules correctly, this wouldn't have been possible without Wally's departure. How about that, the American with an Australian sounding name made room for the Australian with an American sounding name. Wally's twitter handle is also the Kangaroo Kid....which makes it even better.
