1. Without Garrett, depaul is Grambling.
2.  Traci was dreadful during g his first 90 second stint, solid the rest of the way.
3.  Watching Duane warm up, he was short on every jumper.
4.  The Marquette alum next to me,"I'veheard this Ellenson guy is pretty good, but I don't know anything else about the team."
5.  So close to being the cathartic ass kicking we all wanted, but young guys don't know how to finish.
6.  Scoopers need a tee shirt or gang sign or something.
7.  At one point in the second half, it was JJ and 4 freshmen.  It is going to be OK.

Up 23 with 7:44 to go, haven't watched entire game yet, but have to assume we went into bend but don't break mode.
In this sort of game as long as no one gets hurt who cares.
I would have loved to see more of these games in BE, but I like that I have seen some improvement

Could be most any Scoop regular...

I was there. MU crowd into it. Some good cheering.  Was up behind MU bench and it was loud.  Great MU crowd at the reception before game too at hofbrauhaus.

WarriorPride68

now that was a fun & exciting game to watch!!

Joking aside, much needed win heading into these final games

The code word is "sustrightable."  Wasn't someone getting those T-shirts drawn up?

"MUScoop: Sustrightable Marquette Basketball Talk Since 2006" or something like that

EDIT: I misspelled "sustrightable."  The irony lol

"We are....Marquette" inspired the only reaction from the DePaul fans all game.  Crowd was 70-30 Marquette.

If I couldn't be there - and I couldn't, as I now live in N.C. - this was the perfect game to watch with a friend at a bar (and I did).

Dickey was the "analyst," and I usually have to mute him anyway!

And the easy MU win made the beer taste even better!!

Drat! If we had beaten these guys at home, we would be sitting in the 5 spot.

I thought we got pretty careless and lazy down the stretch including Henry specifically.  He took an ill advised 'launch' 3 point attempt early in the shot clock when we were plus approximately 20. In my mind, he earned a little pine time following that decision.  Not Henry's finest game.  And I'm mostly talking from an effort and attention to detail standpoint.

Side note, how bad is attendance there normally?
I'm like a turtle, sometimes I get run over by a semi.

In 2015 they averaged about 2,200 a game.  Can't imagine it's much higher this year

2. Traci is good for 2 entry pass turnovers per game.
4. So what? Welcome that guy. Just as kids in Wausau and Manitowoc cheer with all their heart for Sam Dicker, we are not in a position to exclude.
His statement is the same as the casual MU fan, local media, etc. Politely educate him and who knows he may drive to Creighton next week. My family is full of alums and your neighbors statement can be heard at Thanksgiving or Easter.

tower912

I did.  I gave him a nice overview.  It was actually a good reminder for me that the average Marquette fan/alum isn't as hardcore and that scoopers are a very small percentage of a limited fan base.  Which still turned out well today.

> Won three of the four factors.
> Big MU crowd.  DU students < 100.  South Loop arena gets that to 120.
> Adding first ten minutes and last ten minutes, the game was a tie. In between was all MU.
> Only five turnovers in 2nd half.
> Wojo playing "his guys".
> Haanif was a stat stuffer.
> Wojo calling a 30 second with 5:38 to go to ream Henry for not going after a rebound.
> Post game--Women asks if MU was playing DePaul today. Me: Yes. Her: Oh damn, I should pay more attention to when MU plays.  X fan: How did MU do? Me: Blew out DePaul. Him: Well, you should have.
> This game is a lot closer if Garrett plays.  MU did a nice job exploiting the match ups.  Tommy Hamilton and Henry like outside the arc.
> Big East officials call uneven games and halves.  At this point, they are only calling points of emphasis and not looking at the flow of the game.  Horrid with all the 2nd half calls versus first.
> Win the ones you are supposed to. On to Omaha Beach.

If anyone is good with artwork, how about a shirt that has all the best Scoop lines formed in the shape of the old Warrior head logo so it just looks like the Warrior from a distance?

Customizable with our name on the back?
