Bah .. we all have cell phones chirping away in our pockets.  Same thing.

Totally different thing. You can shut off or leave a phone behind, your chip hand not so much. Additionally, I can think of no benefit from an employee standpoint to being chipped....any benefit can be accomplished with an RFID badge. The only tangible benefit is for the company as a security issue. An implanted RFID chip makes it much more likely that whoever is logging in, is actually whose logging in since it replaces passwords.

While 100% true, this is a bridge too far into big brother for this upper middle aged man.  I simply find it creepy and would never agree to it.  The only exception I would consider would be as a safety issue for a severe alzheimer's patient or some other very significant mental disorder so as only to protect that individual, and then, only with court supervision to prevent abuse.

Multiple visits, I recall being the only one wearing short pants.  One visit to Paris I had three separate people ask me in English, "What time is it?".  I replied in French, "Il est....heures." and always received a surprised look.
