Nice little primer about geysers, the end of the world stuff is at the end. Enjoy.

People who think zerohedge is credible is doom worthy

Let's eliminate colleges and universities. Really not surprised on this, though.

First, you're begging for a timeout. Second, the headline is false - the poll didn't ask if colleges are bad for the US. That's a ridiculous LIE.

I could be missing something but what do you think the poll says?

This is directly from the Pew Research Center, not from any media covering the poll.

Quote
% who say colleges and universities have a positive/negative effect on the way things are going in the country

<img width="420" height="379" src="http://assets.pewresearch.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2017/07/10093922/1_3.png" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="Since 2015, Republicans’ views of the impact of colleges have turned much more negative" />

Is there a significant difference between "bad for the US" and "has a negative impact on the way things are going in the country"?

Feels like you didn't read through the Pew Research survey prior to sending off this missive.

Funny how the biggest whiners about fake news (JB) are actually the worst purveyors of such.

It pretty much says exactly that, broflake.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

I've been following this story. Its still early but it seems like it might have been a true random act of violence. No motive other than violence for violence sake.

Always remember, 1/2 of the people you meet and see every day are dumber than average.

Not to get all stat nerd on you, but 49% of the population would be below average, not 50%. Plus, I'd actually assume that human intelligence doesn't follow a standard bell curve distribution, but what do I know.

Good joke tho ;)

Wouldn't it be 49.99% (repeating, of course) -- which is much closer to 50% than 49%.   ;)  And I'm not even going to touch the distribution issue.

The way I heard it was, "whenever you're amazed by how dumb the average person is, remember that half of the people are even dumber."

If N. Korea were to ever use these weapons on anyone, they would cease to exist within the hour. Even Lil' Kim Un Um Jun Jum knows this.

A great read on the subject from the most recent The Atlantic.

It starts...

http://host.madison.com/wsj/business/wisconsin-company-holds-chip-party-to-implant-microchips-in-workers/article_fab9ea7c-2ed0-5bcd-ace1-e55b0bc0cff2.html

I usually don't buy into conspiracy theories....and I usually assume the best in people....but there is no way I would trust that those chips aren't being used to somehow gather personal or location data.

I agree.  Serious doom. No way.  And one more thing.  The EEOC better keep a sharp eye on this.  If there's even a hint of favoritism shown toward the 'chip robots'........
