Quote from: TallTitan34 on October 08, 2026, 06:19:53 PMI see the defense department is now streaming  executions.

It is going to look incredibly pathetic to watch the US armed forces gun down an unarmed man paraplegic man using a wheelchair.

They've probably never done that before, right?

Nothing to see here. Also, it's SI, not AI:

Executives at Anthropic, OpenAI, and other AI companies are planning for fallout from a "catastrophic AI event" that insiders fear could occur within a year, according to a new report.

Axios' Maria Curi reported on Friday that top AI executives are "privately gaming out scenarios" that would include something catastrophic happening with AI, like a cyberattack that leaves people cut off from power, their finances, or even water.

It's a shame that there is no possible way to stop such a scenario

This is the America you must blindly defend and cheer for at all times.

While idiots worry about AOC starting re-education camps, they cheer on public executions.  A confederacy of dunces.

Are you trying to paint Nidal Hassan as a sympathetic character? The man who gunned down 13 service members?

No, he's pointing out this is what failing countries and dictators do.  But it's the price to pay so we can be openly racist, transphobic, homophobic, and islamaphobic.

Phobic.   The common thread.  Too many have gone all in on the hate mongering propaganda and become cowardly sheep.  Afraid of skin color.  Afraid of women.  Afraid of someone who loves differently.  Afraid of everything except those actually exploiting them and taking everything from them.

No. We're supposed to be better than North Korea and Afghanistan, though.

What next? Stoning adulterers on the village square? If so, we all know one serial adulterer who it'll take a lot of stones to kill because he's morbidly obese.

Most people are capable of holding more than one thought at a time. Such as:

1. Nidal Hassan is a terrible person who did terrible things.
2. Public executions are relics of a time that's fortunately passed most of the modern world and a terrible idea, regardless of who the government is killing.

Obviously not.  I'm pointing out the optics of shooting a man in a wheelchair streamed for ghouls to jerk off to.

If you want to execute the guy, that's fine.  We shouldn't be so barbaric.
