Currently about halfway through Nuclear War: A Scenario by Annie Jacobs, and would recommend it. I bought it after listening to her interview on Dan Carlin's Hardcore History Addendum podcast.  She interviewed a ton of retired military folks and others in the know re the US nuclear apparatus and policies.  The first 1/3 of the book or so is an accessible, blurby dive into our silos, detection and response capabilities, chain of command, etc.  A very quick read, but I learned a lot.

We've had those here for about three years. As one who isn't a big fan of creepy crawly things, they are gnarly as all get out.  The key is to take them out while they are still small.  A can of Raid and a 4-foot 2x4 to knock down the webs is all it takes.

  the mods got nothing from me.  I rather enjoyed you guys making asses of yourself knowing that probably a few of you have been at the mercy of one of us uneducated "sickos" who embarrass our school.  hopefully he/she reads scoop and gave ya'll the "special treatment"

And I know some of "youses" distrust the government. But the best way to combat this is to flag AI videos and, mark them appropriately.
