Outside of Cayden Daughtry, perhaps no one finished July on a higher note than Kamari Whyte. Already a top-100 prospect by Rivals, Whyte backed up that distinction as he was the best player on the best team on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit. Whyte is a 6-foot-5 guard. He touches the paint regularly, and he guards multiple spots on the defensive end. Where Whyte's game took a step was as a distributor. Already a difference-maker on defense, he averaged 17.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.2 steals this summer on 56.3 percent shooting

I know that Fru was quoted as saying this would be his last year in college bball, but other players have said that and changed their minds. Of course, where I'm going with this is imagine Nyok being Fru's backup with a nice share of minutes and taking over the following year.

I'm going to go ahead and predict that both Hamilton and Clark will be better and more productive as Big East bigs in years 5 and 4, respectively, than an incoming 7'1", 205 lb, barely top 150 recruit will be.

I get what you are saying and am usually not a fan on relying upon a freshman big to be able to be a starter at the 5 in his 2nd year. IF he comes to MU, I would hope that he proves himself as a frosh and earns the 5 the following season. I'm hoping that we finally have a 4-year (or at least a 3 year) center. Maybe Josh and Caedin will finally become "more productive". And as we all know...bigs take longer to develop, and Nyok may follow that pattern if he comes to Marquette.

I think this is true. Shaka seemed miffed with his decision to go with Hamilton last year and don't expect him to make the same mistake twice.
