Why do you believe that recruiting kids from bumf*ck Wisconsin would result in something different?

You lack logic.

I know I've pointed this out before but it will never not be funny to me that this guy acts like towns 100s of miles away are the backyard but "out of state" is 30mi away and it's someone else's.
reading comprehension not a strength, guy? I've posted, recruit all over everywhere...including down home cookin'. But hey, you found that shiit sandwich Shaka served the past 18 months enjoyable? White, wheat or rye?

Manufacturing a cutoff point from the 24-25 season is comical.

here's my logic...it can't hurt when MU is a bottom feeder at this point, and state talent is very very strong the past 8-10 yrs. I see Hamilton, Clark and others as not good enough. So, change it up. And as I posted prior, maybe MU is going hard after local guys. We did on Kon, Davis, and the kid that signed w/Gonzaga. However,  so much talent locally that we are not getting, and no talent from out there we are getting. That's recruiting logic I don't get.

Marquette is not a bottom feeder after one awful season. Dumb.

False and dumb. I always love how not completely losing perspective makes someone the "fan club president".

The hard part is the delay in the debate when they have to wait for dear leader to tell them their position

Xavier Skipworth, 6-4, PG, Team Takeover 17u

While he's a 2028, Skipworth has played up against 17u competition all summer with Team Takeover and been their leader. He has such a mature game and naturally took charge of his Team Chicago squad at Elite 100. There isn't a shot on the court Skipworth can't make, and there's not one he's afraid to take. He was aggressive scoring it all week and showcased why he's ranked a five-star and able to hang with 17u competition.

EYBL Stats: 16.8 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 1.5 apg, 45.7% FG, 42.9% 3FG

Reported offer list: Cal, Creighton, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Georgetown, Marquette, Maryland, Missouri, Penn State, Purdue, Syracuse, USC.

Big list. But glad we are involved.

Nah your obsession is consistently equating the entire state to MUs backyard and questioning why we waste time elsewhere rather than a kid 2-5hrs away.

So you approve of going hard after Kon, Davis, and Dooney. You don't approve of players who aren't good enough. So who are the unranked, available late in the process players from Wisconsin that you felt in the moment Marquette should've recruited to replace Hamilton and Clark?

Don't get me wrong, I like Kohnen and Kager, but those were going to be major recruiting battles and both play a position where we have a ton of depth. I understand committing those resources toward players like Devin Cleveland or Jaxson Davis where we have a real need, but looking specifically at August 2023 (when Caedin committed for the 2023 class) or May 2024 (when Josh committed for the 2024 class), who were the local players that would've been better investments of resources?

I don't think that Hamilton or Clark should've been brought back this year, but that's a different discussion. Talking specifically about high school recruiting and the two recruits you cite, who are the Wisconsin players available late in the process for those classes that would've been better options?

So who was the greatest Marquette recruit out of Wisconsin?

Quote from: muwarrior69 on Today at 06:42:10 AMSo who was the greatest Marquette recruit out of Wisconsin?

Jim Chones seems like the obvious answer.

McIlvaine, Diener, Novak, Wes, Burton, Ellenson all warrant a mention but it's comes Chones #1.
