Quote from: tower912 on May 16, 2026, 11:18:31 AMIt is cute schtick.  And I admire the social media experiment of repeating a lie often enough until the weak minded accept it as truth.

Taking a cue from Olivia Newton-John, JB is hopelessly devoted to his schtick.

I'm glad MU is (always ? ) recruiting... and I totally agree they need to replace
Sheek, but ... judging by the other schools
( Army ? Princeton ? ... ) maybe the coaches got lost  ::)

Shaka watched Devin Cleveland and Jaxson Davis yesterday per On 3.

Crowdis looks like a nice prospect. That said, it'd be foolish to think an unranked guy will come in and be ready for meaningful minutes next year, which means we're still looking thin at the guard position. I don't love that.

Maybe they grab another guard with the open scholarship, but I'd rather a serviceable big man. Hope we get some good news on that front soon.

It's the SS way - have regulation rotation in the plans for 18 and add take a late flyer(s) to add to the roster and hope to hit. There are reasonable pathways to success this season (defined in this instance as making it to the expanded tourney), but there are also reasonable scenarios where this is it. #LastYear

Ch18 firmly in the plans for next season. Buckle up

Ah, could be.

It became obvious how devoted Shaka is to 18 during Big East play last season, when 18 averaged a whopping 9.5 mpg. And then Shaka's devotion to 18 clearly was put on display when he went out and got a big-money center in free agency.

The Fru signing ... man ... it's all part of the ruse. People are saying that Shaka likes 18 more than the new guy, and that Shaka plans to play 18 at least 35 mpg. Book it!

Instead of playing 18 Shaka should have played 4 on 5 when Ben or Royce had to rest for a few minutes!

Not sure we are thin at guard. Looking at the roster we have 8 guys that will likely compete at guard, more if you add in guys that are more traditional wings who might play some guard. This will be good for competition and the cream rising to the top. But what happens if several are about equal? Will that cause turnover? We still need some BEast down low bruisers.

You seem to repeat the same argument that cries about the fact that 18 isn't going to start or play huge minutes. No one is disputing that (unless there is an injury to Sunny, God forbid).

The issue is that SS will likely put 18 in the regular rotation, giving him planned minutes in the first half of games. It was the impetus for Sheek's departure, and hampers the outlook for this team. #LastYear
