What has to happen if you want to compete in this environment is to have your cities corporate world pay for players, if it is Kohls, Harley, Miller, Gruber, ULIne pay up
to get players to come to MU, the question I have for a company in basketball, the best players last 1 year.  then gone.  Now if there that good, they will have to sign
a 3 or 4 year contract with the player no matter where he goes.  Like Johnathon Taylor with UW credit union.  Will a Milwaukee company do that, we will see.  I do
know the corporate world execs paid out Wojo out of there own pocketbook.  Fed X is paying the Memphis players, lets see how that works out for Fed X.  Are those
kids really college students, will they go to class after the first semester, doubt it.
They are more likely to support UW than MU. The NIL is bad news for most private colleges, especially if they do not have football teams.

However, I think there are only so many big NIL deals out there, so in the long run the effect may not be that big on high school recruiting. It may have a greater effect on the open transfer Market. A player who has a breakout year at a MU or any other school may find the pastures greener (as in money) at another school. Would Markus had stayed four years at MU, if he could of openly transfer to another school and made more money?

Didn't take any of his visits which leads me to believe that the local Hoyas will get him but Miami has always been the percieved leader

He visited Miami over the weekend. He initially scheduled that visit for Sept. 10, the week after he was supposed to be at MU, but changed it up.

Would rather know now so they can focus hard on Chase Ross during his visit.

Ah, didn't know that he switched up his visit schedule. Then yes, JFP61 is likely correct.

Both of these recruits are on later timelines. I think November and maybe the Winter.

Dia I believe has said that he is going to commit in the next month or two. I think Ross said he will wait until the winter. My guess is that both end up signing somewhere during the early signing period.

Just saw True Golden Eagles on Dodd's site state 9/8 as commit date for Dia. Not sure what his source was- not shown.
