Great article up from Ben on MU recruitment targets all the way out to 2022, all the coaches hitting it during the 10 day lull between games

Good to hear.  Let's target "3 and dones."

Wow, is this the first time a recruit has talked about how much money we put into the program? Not facilities or whatever, but money itself

Marquette: "It was great, the people were great and everybody is really nice and they have great character. (Steve Wojciechowski) and coach (Stan) Johnson, those are some great coaches. They have a lot of money for a program, so we looked into how much they put into the athletes and all of the perks that they have."

2021 MU target DaRon Holmes had a nice weekend in his team's 4 games in a Thanksgiving Tourney near Peoria, Il. Millenium went 3-1, all lopsided wins over Urbana, Lincoln Park (Chicago), McGill-Toolen (Mobile) and a close loss to Woodward Academy (Atlanta) ...who has 7 foot top 15 North Carolina commit Walker Kessler. in that game Holmes had 16, 12, 4. .....In 4 games, he had 100 points, 56 rebounds, 21 blocks

Holmes took his official at MU Madness with Oso. Stan has been in to see him recently. Holmes also recently took an official visit to Virginia.

Probably a good day/time to bump this. Stan has been very active recruiting Holmes.

Herman Cain

Alex Antetokounmpo and Dominican off to a good start. I felt the upside to recruiting Alex was the possibility  he ended up the same size as his older brother and  became a big with skills. Alex is now 6-8, a few years ago his wingspan was measured at 7 foot 3 .  So he is becoming quite a force.

Obviously MU has other priorities such as Karim Mane and Kendall Brown where they are going to put the bulk of their time and resources. However, it is still worth maintaining a dialogue with Alex and see where things stand at the later signing period .

Is Alex a legit high-major prospect? If so, yes, go after him. If not, move along.

I have nothing against any of the 106 Greek Freak brothers. I just want them to be high-major players before we waste time and scholarships on them.

There have been 3 Antetokounmpos that have been old enough to go to college. They've combined to play one season of college basketball and averaged 5 points in that season. Three of the four are living off of their last name in terms of basketball. It's not even worth a discussion.

People need to stop taking seriously the guy that created a sock puppet in order to agree with himself...
And claims intimate knowledge of every recruit's family...
And claimed to talk about a recruit's body language during a visit...

fwiw, all three are currently earning a paycheck in the NBA.  Of course two of them are end of the bench guys on teams that are 22-3

Without that last name, doubt either would be around.  One is with the Bucks to keep someone happy and the other with a team hoping to attract that someone in free agency.

It's not worth much to any college program that spent time and money recruiting the 1 brother that went to college.
